"3 Gs was to go into an Imperial station, deal with Imperials, and retrieve your man here. I think dealing with walking dead cannibals instead of Imperials qualify for a high-risk bonus pay..."

Kalerik nods in affirmation to Kilter, "do you know how hard it is fighting a horde of those monsters. Liz..." He says pointing to S'skaar "can testify. To add on to it, we left with a new crewmember, he should get full pay as well. He did most of the blowing up".

Kilter looks at you all and says "Jorbo is pleased with the speed your performed your assignment. He's willing to take 3,000 off of your debt and give you a bonus of 1,000 credits as he assumes you need currency"

"Now, about the rock"

(OCC: Does anyone have any moral issues with giving a crime lord a zombie producing asteroid?)
Jan 13, 2016 3:51 pm
"That's acceptable."

(OOC: S'skaar sort of does and he assumes pretty much everyone else in the crew does also, but he also wants to get out of teh bar with his life... He plans on staying around, keeping tabs on Jorbo's crime organization, and if he learns Jorbo now has trouble with zombies, probaly go in with the crew for a clean up job and maybe even some extra pay... :P)

Kilter moves a stack of creds onto the table. "5 thousand, as we agreed, Chuck" he says as he snaps his fingers. A bouncer approaches and stands by him.

Chuck looks around. "That seems fair. " he pushes the thermos over to Kilter's side of the table.

Kilter goes to open it

"Ah, ah ah, I wouldn't do that. That little piece of meteorite managed to turn a whole station of Imperials into the walking dead. You'll want to treat that thing with a bit more respect than your big paws could manage"

Kilter stops. "Very well" and the exchange is made.

"Well boys, I say we head out and gamble away our pay, give it back to Jorbo one hand at a time!" Chuck smiles at all of you (nodding towards the door).

He chugs his drink, pockets the creds and gets up. Urging the rest of you to come along. As you step out of the bar he turns to the rest of you "I think you guys need a face man on the Ronin, I think I'm right for the job. To show my team spirit, here" He digs in his pocket and hands each of you 1,000 creds. "and now, we should be going...like off this rock."
Jan 13, 2016 8:53 pm
"I would not stray too far from this place thought, say 5 parsecs or so? If this rock managed to turn a space station full of Imperials, which are more organized and better supplied than a crime syndicate, into the walking dead, then I'm pretty sure we'll get a distress signal from Jorbo soon enough... If we're quick enough to act then, we might get extra pay, or even find a way to have our whole debt expunged..."

(OOC: So if my calculations are correct, splitting this 6000 Creds [1k from us, 5k from Chuck], then we should get 1200 creds each, and we haven't sold anything yet...)

"Oh, I wouldn't worry about Jorbo making any zombies." Chuck smiles. "On our way here I spaced the rock, sent it towards a sun."

Meanwhile, Kilter stares at the themos. Eventually, curiosity gets the best of him and he opens it, finding a small cube.

He picks it up, and it hums to life with blue light.

"I think we've been scammed' he says, staring at the face on the cube...

"You may rely on it" the cube replies...

"So what do you guys wanna do? Something good? Something bad? Bit o' both?"
Feb 5, 2016 8:24 am
"Maybe we should spend some of our creds to improve the Ronin controls? we struggled a little to scape that imperial ships, or to shoot any of them..."
Feb 5, 2016 1:22 pm
"Good thinking, Saru. I'd love to pimp our ride if I can just get my hands on some sweet components.!"
Feb 5, 2016 2:02 pm
There is a big open market near where you parked the ship. Traders hawking all sorts of things.
Feb 5, 2016 3:18 pm
"Keep in mind we also have some gear to sell guys... If they don,t sell weapons here, I doubt they also buy them, but we still have something like 7 protective vests, 4 spacesuits, 2 zero-G thruster packs, various tools, that faulty sensor helmet, that broken cooling unit, a wielding torch, and a toolbox..."
Feb 10, 2016 12:31 pm
I'm ready when you are - you can either do more in Knowhere or head out on the Ronin...
Feb 10, 2016 1:32 pm
"Well it's worth looking around the market at least. Who knows, we might find something interesting. Snd then afterwards we csn see about systems upgrades for tge Ronin. C'mon!"
Feb 10, 2016 4:25 pm
"I think we should probably keep the extra spacesuits and zero-g packs for the ronin. We never know when we might need to do a sortie. The rest we can sell."
OOC:
Any reason Hotwire doesn't want to keep the toolbox? Maybe you already have one?
Feb 10, 2016 5:06 pm
"Don't be selling any tools. We're keeping those in the Ronin's workshop. The welding torch, too! I can fix the faulty sensor helmet, and I'm sure I can find a use for the old cooling unit..."
OOC:
Hotwire is tinkerer and a pack-rat. If it were up to him he'd keep everything! Every inch of the Ronin would be covered with spare parts, various contraptions and shit.

"Hum, Hotwire, there are several duplicates among the tools, we can afford to sell some. Also, why do you want to make the Ronin colder? We're cold-blooded!"
OOC:
unless this is not like an AC unit, but rather a cooling unit for an engine, in which case S'skaar would not object to keeping it...

It is a mini chiller, a device you could jury rig to 1. keep a container cold (for food, medicine, etc). Keep an environmental suit cold, etc. Basically a spare part that you can use somewhere else.
