"Ti..tis' nothing, miss," Erran replies with a slight stammer in his voice. He pushes himself off the grounds and dusts himself off then offering a hand to help Ameera up as well.

Seeing Baric scale the graves and cringing as he watches Pyrrah walking across, he does a mental inventory of his backpack. "Say, I have a few pitons and a length of rope, perhaps we could make good use of it."

OOC:
Does this mean that I actually made it across?
"Once I get to the other side just throw me the rope. I can either hold it in case you fall or... Maybe there is something we can tie it to?"
Dec 10, 2016 3:08 am
Ameera gets herself up, winks and pats Erran on the shoulder briskly. She turn to the others, "You all are acting like this is a cliff with a thousand foot drop to a pit of acid, I was just stupid and careless. Flare, I was trying to open the door beside you before we went all the way across. Let's see what drops out. Baric, are you staying there With one foot in the grave?"

Devanis waits until everyone is safely across before moving.

Pyrrah, after a time, is able to make it next to the western door. It is tilted downward, with the slope of the room, and looks like it will open toward you as opposed to away.

OOC:
Yes, Pyrrah is able to keep her balance for now. So long as circumstances do not change or more complicated tasks are attempted, that check will cover you for now.

You could say that I'm working stay ou... Stumbling back on to the small ledge in front of the door at some chipped part of the wall crypt he catches his balance on the ledge. ...Nevermind. Flare's got it covered.

What's in the room? We're all interested and a couple of us are a touch winded for it.

Doing her best to remain steady, Pyrrah turns the handle on the western door. As soon as she does, the doorway swings open abruptly, and a pile of dirt and stones pour out. Pyrrah is knocked off of her feet, barely clinging to the door handle as the shower of rock and earth pours down to the cave-in on the eastern side of the room. Several of the corpses become even more buried than before. As they do, you notice a few of the bodies shifting, fingers twitching, dirt rippling around them. Thankfully, it looks like they are stuck - at least for the time being - but certainly aware.

As Pyrrah manages to find her footing once more, still clinging to the door handle, she peers inside. The doorway on the western side reveals a hallway, which now resembles more like a ramp with the way that it is canted upwards at such an angle. On either side of the hallway are wall-crypts. One of them seems to have been burst open, and its rocky interior spilled out (which is likely what was pressing on the other side of the door). There is no sign of a body. At the end of the hallway is another door, this one made entirely of iron.

"Iron door? There either to keep people in or out. I don't think they expected to keep people in this place... Devanis, do you think that's the original entrance to this hole?" Ameera moves again to the now open door using her hands if needed, and clings to the frame. "Lets see if it opens easily" She reaches into the corridor with her right arm, makes a grasping gesture with her hand and mutters a single word "Boru". A transparent purple/white hand appears and reaches for the iron door to grasp and pull the handle.

The handle does not turn, leading you to believe the door to be locked.
Dec 14, 2016 10:41 pm
"Oh hells. I guess that's what I expected. If any of us do get it open, it's likely to dump a load of rubbish and take anyone in the corridor for a ride. Any ideas anyone?"
OOC:
where is the opened tomb relative to the iron door? Can the door be reached if someone were stupid enough to wedge themselves into the tomb?

OOC:
No time for proper post. Thieves tools used by mage hand?? I don't have time for rolls or a lengthy post...

You can each see that the open tomb is the one on the right, closest to the door. It is a few feet from it, and likely couldn't be reached just by stretching out with one's hand.

Pyrrah holds tight to the western door handle (the one connecting to the room with the cave-in) for balance and with her other hand she reaches toward the door at the end of the hallway. She appears to concentrate for a moment, moving her fingers with small, subtle motions. Eventually there is an audible click from the door at the end of the hallway, which is now presumably unlocked.

"There," Pyrrah says, "Problem solved." She moves a few feet to the side, just in case rubble will pour out, as predicted, when the door is opened.

Ammera grits her teeth and says through a forced smile "Nice work Flare."
Dec 15, 2016 11:24 pm
"Alright, I get it. I'll try to open it while you all stay out of the way" Ameera again makes a small gesture with her right hand while standing with her body to the left of the door frame, protected as best as possible. The translucent purple hand pulls on the handle to the iron door once more.

The spectral hand is able to turn the handle this time, and as expected, a large amount of debris and dirt comes pouring out of it. The door slams into the wall as it opens so abruptly, causing a large metallic ringing sound to echo throughout the chamber. Within the room is a complete mess. From the distance you're at, as best you can tell, there has been a large cave-in. The ceiling has mostly collapsed, so much so that the ceiling meets the floor toward the far side of the room. Despite this, there appears to be all manner of items amidst the rubble, though difficult to identify from here.
Dec 16, 2016 5:45 am
"...that went well, all things considered."
Dec 16, 2016 3:17 pm
From his perch Devanis looks down at the debris. "Interesting, but may not be worth it."
Dec 16, 2016 4:55 pm
OOC:
"all manner of items amidst the rubble" in the room or in the rubble that fell out when the door opened? or both?
Dec 16, 2016 7:29 pm
OOC:
Within the room, cause it's never easy! The rubble that fell onto the corpses could be worth checking?
Dec 16, 2016 7:33 pm
OOC:
Anything I could grab with mage hand? Also, finals are done so I can take back over.
