Pyrrah is able to swim her way to shore with ease. Once she's by Ameera, Devanis begins to slide down the rope. He manages to make it to the bottom, though his unique method didn't seem to work as he expected. He makes it to the bottom nevertheless, hovering over the lake.
OOC:
Sorry, Jabes :) I think I was on the posting page when you did your post, so I didn't notice it. Luckily having the right gear, and working as a team gives you advantage, so I'll just use your Swimming roll for that. Give me another roll for swimming.Jan 12, 2017 11:04 am
Ameera circles the pool to begin a scout in a outward spiral, while the others come down. "Flare, I am going to look around with Zubie. Even with the mushroom glow, I can still see a bit better. Hold the fort here as the others make it down?

Devanis makes it down to the lake's surface with less grace than he thought he might."You're losing your edge, old man!" he chides himself, clucking his tongue. He slips into the scummy water and is surprised when he starts to flounder when he tries to make for the shore.

Yer a youth compared to me, guide! Baric calls down to the complaining Devanis, unable to see what else happens below as the odd scrambling takes its toll on the ranger.
Now this is some useful rope, Baric turns to Erran, should we keep it here, hopefully as a means of escape or should we take it with us so it can be useful later?

You feel something catch around your ankle as you struggle towards the shore, which limits your ability to stay afloat. Make an Acrobatics check, please.

You are pulled under the water by whatever has your ankle. It feels like a strong fist, but you can't see anything below your waist.
OOC:
Perception check, if you'd like to try! I'll let you know when/if you begin suffocating, but you can hold your breath for about two minutes; less the more that you struggle.[ +- ] Ameera
OOC:
Sorry about not replying sooner; I became occupied with Devanis's roll :)Jan 13, 2017 8:33 pm
Devanis tries not to panic as he goes under. Alright, stay calm. Probably just some lakeweed

You peer down into the murky depths and see something. A shape, at first, but it begins to grow more clearly. A humanoid shadow appears in front of you, approaching out of the dark. It is Father Morgan, chained to the bottom of the lake. Your mind doesn't even ponder why he might be here as he reaches high and holds on tightly to your ankle. His face is twisted in anguish, his skin turning colors as he struggles for breath. The chain around his leg binds him to the floor, but you think you might be able to release him if you swam deeper.

Ameera runs to the edge of the water where she herself came to shore and pulls out her own rope. Zubie, take this to the old one in the water She hands one end to the imp. Come on old man, we still need you. You can't let some muck take you now!
OOC:
guessing acrobatics for Zubie to fly with the end of the rope. Also, if allowed will give my inspiration to DevanisRolls

Erran cups his hands around his mouth and halfway yells down the hole in the stone beneath him,
"What in bloody hell's going on down there?!"

Pyrrah waits dripping on the shore and watches Zubie fly with the rope. She quickly pulls off her pack and sets it down, but keeps a dagger at her hip, ready to dive back in unencumbered if the imps attempts fail.

Father Morgan? Devanis tries to make sense of what he's seeing but there's no time to waste! He swims deeper to try to get at the older man's bonds.

If at some point a WIS save is called for, I'll apply the Inspiration point to that.OOC:

Something is tugging at the corner of Devanis' mind. It feels as if he's forgetting something important. But what could possibly be more important than this? Devanis focuses on the task at hand and tries to break Father Morgan free of his chains.

"Damn it, old man! "
Pyrrah backs up and takes a running leap out and over the water with her newly-lightened load. As she crashes back down into the murky liquid, she powers forward once again, throwing her energy into her legs to propel her forward.

I'll see how this turns out before I try anything else. I'm hoping that since I've left everything but my spell focus necklace and dagger on shore to lighten my weight, DC will be lower?? Rolls
