Anrin is not as comfortable in stone buildings as in the wilds, but does what he can to search for a hidden entrance.

"Nothing...hmmm. We shall go in".

You enter through the doorway atop the steps.

This was once a great audience chamber, as shown by the tattered banners and tapestries on the walls, destroyed furniture, and heaps of rotting cloth thrown into corners. Once richly appointed, it has been thoroughly searched, sacked, and despoiled. Leaves and dirt cover the floor, and cobwebs hang from walls and the ceiling above. Looking up, you see that pieces of beams and chunks of stone poke through, indicating that the upper stories of the place are totally destroyed and likely to be impassable to anything larger than a rat.

There are evidently a number of rooms around. Large doors conceal a room right ahead of you, and corridors to the right and left show several room entrances.

Matthias will stick with the party as they take a look around the audience chamber. After they finish their search he will say, "I think we should check out these corridors to make sure we don't leave anything behind, danger or otherwise."

Anrin carefully moves to the large doors, and stops to listen for any sounds beyond.

Right, that'll be a 1 then.

Anrin experiences a mild, but confusing, psychotic episode, hearing faint music coming from the south corridor.

Peering around the room, it appears that the furniture here is old and rotting, basically ransacked, and any soft material, such as the banner cloth, is brittle, faded and moth-eaten.

The stone floor causes your footsteps to echo raspily in the poorly-covered chamber.

"Seems like any way is merely a guess at this point. We may as well head down this corridor first," Matthias will point to the corridor to the left of the door they entered. He will keep a close eye out for anything unusual or valuable.

As darf's foot smacks the concrete, memories of sneaking around the caves when he was a child flood his thought and he instinctivly assumes a percautous stance and attempts to walk quietly without thinking. (This implies that he is gollowin anrin)

Matthias spots a doorless opening to the right of the west corridor, stairs evidently leading down to some kind or larder. In the corridor, there are splintered wooden doors, all barely shut properly. Two to the left, one to the right, and double doors ahead. He hears shuffling from one of the rooms, but it's too hard to figure out where.

Darf ensures the two of them approach silently.

As the group moves along, Kaxaon keeps Spugnoir's body shielded with his own. He has no liking for the man, but he'd like to get paid.

"Kaxaon, be careful now. The others are listening for something. We must be light on our feet!"

His patronising manner is made worse by his thin, raspy voice
Sep 2, 2015 10:11 am
Kaxaon stares at Spugnoir piercingly and gestures for the annoying man to be quiet and hide behind a pile of old furniture.

"Heh...you seem to know what you're doing. I, I will stand over here and investigate these overturned tables."

He awkwardly steps over and scurries around.

Matthias will stop and motion to the others that he heard something up ahead. He will wait for everyone to catch up to him and then move on down the hallway cautiously.

Kaxaon acknowledges Matthias with a nod, but doesn't move any closer to the sorcerer. Stealth is not one of Kaxaon's strong suits. And he wants to be able to keep an eye on Spugnoir.

Anrin attempts to move quietly as directed by Matthias. He feels sure if he wasn't wearing this new knightly armor, he would be much quieter.

I will stick with Anrin and the others as we begin to look into the rooms for the source of the noise I heard.

The first left door is a trophy room. Only a few mangy pelts, stuffed heads, and shattered antlers indicate the former status of the chamber. All worthwhile items are apparently already looted.

The next left door opens with a creak. This place was a domicile of some kind, but is now stripped of everything save broken and ruined furnishings. One wall cresset remains near the outer wall, and its nondescript torch stub lies intact.

The right door opens freely. The remains of moldering foodstuffs and kitchen work tables are visible. A wooden cask near the fireplace on the north wall looks inviting, but nothing fully grabs you. All that's left is the double doors.
Sep 4, 2015 6:38 pm
Anrin finds the idea of animal trophies distasteful in the first place, but is further disgusted to see them so discarded. He says a prayer to Ehlonna before moving on from that door. When he gets to the kitchen, Anrin bends slightly to check nothing is hiding under the table before entering the room.

Nothing is there, but it is very dusty. Leaves and dirt have found their way in.
Sep 5, 2015 3:34 pm
Matthias will lead everyone to the other corridor to search those rooms.
