So I had a thought: instead of having Reave and Lyra as GMPCs like in the last battle I could let the PCs control them. That is, instead of getting their own turn separate from the party, Reave and Lyra team up with a given PC and grant them bonuses: almost like Resources, if you will. And the tram could be similar, meaning that every player gets to pick some kind of bonus for the finale. You have to move and act
with these allies however, you can't send them off to do something by themselves.
[ +- ] Reave
Reave grants a PC +1 to all rolls and increases their critical range by 1 (20 becoming 19).
As a free action Reave's PC can instruct her to make a psi attack, hitting a visible enemy within a 3 tile range for 1HP. No save is allowed but this damage is non-lethal.
If the NATURAL roll of an attacker is 10 or less, Reave counter-attacks (either with Melee or Psi depending on the distance) for 1d6+3 damage.
Note however that Reave's leg injury imposes a -3 penalty to any Mobility checks made by her PC.
[ +- ] Lyra
Lyra grants a PC +1 to all Resistances, +1 to the Melee talent, and +2 max HP.
As a free action Lyra's PC can instruct her to perform a slam attack, Stunning an enemy in melee range (DC11 Physical check to negate).
If the NATURAL roll of her PC's attack is 11+, Lyra attacks the same target for an additional +2d4 damage.
[ +- ] The Tram
The tram can move 1 tile as a free action (i.e. without eating into the driver's action allowance) but is, of course, confined to the rails. As a full action the PC can make a Tech check, moving the tram three tiles with +1 tile for every 10 points rolled. In addition to serving as heavy cover, the tram's newly mounted Hellfire cannon allows its driver to make a 3d6+4 Ranged attack at +FOC to-hit as a standard action.
The tram is not invulnerable! It has 8HP. When an attack is directed at a target within the tram tile, the tram will lose 1HP if that attack deals 10 damage or higher. If the tram hits 0HP it explodes, taking the Hellfire cannon with it. And the driver if they're not quick...
