Positions unchanged from Round 2. #2 is down 2 HP, 1/4. #4 is down 2 HP, 4/7. #1 has been Stunned (losing his standard action) and attempts a guard action with his remaining minor action. #4 spent his whole turn trying to reverse the virus to no avail.
Wilhelm is down another HP, 3/5.

Pudge's assailant finds his SMG's photon bolts hammering into some kind of barrier. Before he can register what's happening, the concussive force of the bursting forcefield staggers him. He desperately tries to regain his bearings.

Serana's hilt shatters the heavy's visor. He backs off and grabs his repeater, trying his chances with the virus instead of a clearly superior fighter. He's not nearly good enough to counter it, and he discards his weapon again, uttering another string of curses.

Wilhelm is in his element. His scythe comes close to decapitating one man entirely and he instead manages to get away with a nasty scratch. The two attackers consider disengaging but stick it out, rushing him together.

Pudge, keeping low to the ground, moves to the empty space behind Wilhelm while pulling out his semi-automatic handgun. He hasn't had much occasion to use it up to now. But, when the pressure is on, Pudge's adrenaline kicks him into overclock mode.

Pudge crouches and fires at #1.

Rolls

Attack (plus FOC) - (1d20+3)

(10) + 3 = 13

Damage - (1d6)

(3) = 3

(Spending Edge to get another full action which I'm using to Brutalize in addition to my regular attack)

Wilhelm steps back from his targets and eyes them both from beneath his wide brimmed hat. He swings his scythe in a cross patern in front of him, making a spinning meatgrinder before he charges.

Rolls

1d20+5 : (14) + 5 = 19

I had completely neglected to take into account that Serana's anti-armour passive also applies an additional F hit if it beats all the target's armour. #4 was actually at 2/7 HP, so is now at 0 and chooses to blow his sole Edge point to perform a Surge, which gets him back to 3/7 HP.
#2 takes 1F hit, 0/4. The next N hit will defeat them. #3 has no Edge points to spend and so a Lethal hit is a guaranteed defeat state. #1 takes 1F hit, 3/4.
#1 and #2 are Slowed by Brutalise's passive effect: #2 critically fails and gains an Exploit. #4 is unmoved.
Pudge is down 1 HP from the attack, 5/7 (I realised he used an Empower earlier with Disabling Virus and only just took that into account).

It's a very clean cut. A helmeted head spirals into the air as the nearby gunmen watch in abject horror. The closest, who is now painted red with the blood of a former comrade, breaks altogether and tries to flee. The other shouts and takes a second shot at Pudge.

The heavy sees a crimson spray in his peripheral vision. Although not particularly distressed by the extreme violence, he decides that this operation is an abject failure. He stumbles out of the way of Serana's lunge and attempts to beat a hasty retreat.

You may attempt a Melee roll to prevent #2/#4 leaving your respective tiles.

Rolls

#1's Mind check vs Brutalise - (1d20+1)

(2) + 1 = 3

#2's Mind check vs Brutalise - (1d20+1)

#4's Mind check vs Brutalise - (1d20+3)

(12) + 3 = 15

#4's Surge roll - (1d20+4)

(8) + 4 = 12

#1's attack roll vs Pudge - (1d20+1)

(15) + 1 = 16

#1's damage roll vs Pudge - (2d6+1)

(23) + 1 = 6

Wilhelm swings the staff in a wide sweep to take the coward's legs out from under him.

"First, you attack from the shadows with the uniforms of honorable men. Now, you don't even have the self resepct to die with some dignity."

(if attack hits, Wilhelm knocks him down and executes him via bifurcation)

"I said surrender was an option. Running never entered the conversation."

Serana rips the door off the armored car and slams it across the heavys back. When he's on the ground, she then stabs him in the lower leg.

Using Smash encounter power and then burning Edge to make a free standard attack.
edit - I crit? If possible, I don't want him dead. We could do with a prisoner to interrogate.

The last of the phoney police officers watches as a ludicrously strong cyborg peels away a plated door like it was cardboard and knocks the strongest of his allies out cold. He looks to his left, as if expecting to be reassured by the sight of the rest of his team, only to see that they've been butchered by a berserk outworlder with an agricultural implement. And even the softest target is fighting back.

He drops his weapon, puts his hands behind his head. "No contract is worth this shit. You people are bloodthirsty maniacs."
Aug 29, 2015 4:19 pm
After securing the lone conscious assailant to ensure he can't run away and sitting him down behind the car, Pudge gathers Wilhelm and Serana. "I've found some information in the Net that might be useful in our interrogation. This guy is called Markus Anders Henrichson, and I'm almost certain that he's wanted for desertion and murdering a superior officer Ascorvia. I'm willing to bet that he'd give us whatever information we want, rather than go back and face an F.S.A. military tribunal."

Pudge refocuses on his two companions. "Why don't we find out who hired him? Then, we should have him go back and tell his employer the job is done, so they won't send more after us. I think we can convince dear Markus here that I'd be able to find him and we'd come after him if he doesn't execute our orders perfectly. What do y'all think?"

"I approve of feeding our unseen enemy lies, but should we not take this matter to the Chief?"

Serana pauses.

"Or perhaps this operation was possible because his department is already compromised."
Aug 29, 2015 5:08 pm
"Well, we can find out who he works for, first," Pudge replied. "Then we can determine with that information if including the chief is prudent."

Then he adds, "But, I'm inclined not to trust him at the moment."
Aug 29, 2015 5:18 pm
Serana nods. "Logical. I am willing to proceed with your plan." She looks to Wilhelm, a man who is holding a bloody scythe. "And perhaps Wilhelm can do the talking. He seems to have made an impression."
Aug 30, 2015 4:49 pm
"With pleasure." A razor-toothed grin spreads across Wilhelm's face from beneath his wide brimmed hat. He glides towards his target, grabs him by the front of his police suit, and lifts him onto the hood of the car. Pinning the captive against the metal surface, Wilhelm brings the blade of his scythe up under the chin and says, "Hi there, friend. Let's talk."
Aug 31, 2015 7:56 am
Markus resists the urge to swallow, what with a sharp edge held so near his throat. "Talking is good. I am happy to talk. I talk a lot, it's one of my favourite pastimes."
Aug 31, 2015 10:15 am
"Brilliant. Then I'll get to the point. Who hired you?"

Rolls

Scary Face - (1d20+5, 1d6+5)

1d20+5 : (13) + 5 = 18

1d6+5 : (6) + 5 = 11

"Sorry buddy, I didn't get a name. Some guy came up to us at our digs, dumped a crate of equipment at the door and told us to ice three offworlders matching your description. Thirty-thousand credits a head, and for that kinda money you don't ask questions."

You can try a FOC+Social roll to see if he's lying.

Checking to see if Markus is lying.

Rolls

Truth check - (1d20+3)

(9) + 3 = 12

Aug 31, 2015 12:17 pm
Likewise.

Rolls

Focus - (1d20+1)

(19) + 1 = 20

Aug 31, 2015 12:36 pm
He's not lying, but he may be omitting something. Serana notices that Markus keeps looking over to the heavy, who is still unconscious beneath the car door.
