Where to now? Resting? Dividing the loot? Pack up and head out, worrying about the details later? Note that continuing as we are is perfectly fine as well. I like a good amount of RP in my games.

"Ser Bram, if you can continue your arcane analysis en route, and if lady Ilwyn's retainers do not mind helping us with the task of dividing the coin, we can be on our way again."

Cædwyn nods looking down at his swamp mud and troll gore covered outfit, "Yes. I for one am in desperate need of a hot bath."

"That sounds like a fine plan, Hraefn. My retainers are still at the town, I believe, but I'll have Pressa see to the accounting when we get back."

I’ll go wherever I can be healed back fully.

"You may be waiting a while. I doubt there's a properly trained healer until we reach Tycha. As I said though, I might know someone there. The best we can do is get you rested up. And perhaps heavily inebriated." Ilwyn grins at him encouragingly.

I had assumed that the party left full force, headed toward Fort Nurok. This was an on-the-way sort of deal. If not, you will be able to arrive back at Grasmere around nightfall. Totally up to the group consensus.

I believe we were heading back for the the night to distribute loot and recover. Furthermore, we need to hand in the quest!

For that reward we told them we didn't need lol

Oh I also thought it was an along the way side quest and that we were moving forward to rest up at the next stop. But I'm open either way.

I, too, had thought that you all headed out in force, continuing on your path. You accepted room and board as payment from a grumpy Agrobar. You were just going to take care of the troll on the way past his lair.

That said, this is YOUR adventure... :) Go where ye may!

I could be wrong. What's the general consensus?

Bram is not concerned one way or the other how they proceed. He leaves the arrows for the archers to divide as they see fit; hands the helm to Caedwyn; gives the backpack to Hraefn but keeps the vials and scroll for himself. There seems to be a lot of coin lying about so he helps gather them up and starts dropping them in the backpack that he had given Hraefn. After a dozen or so handfuls are dropped in he says, "You notice any different in the weight?"

Ahh, that's right. I had forgotten that we were continuing onward. Ahh well, a river will do just as well. Still we need to go back at least as far as the horses were. I'll give the teeth to our guide from Grasmere we left waiting there for us as proof of the deed. (They're his problem then. *grin*)

"This backpack seems to weigh the same, both with and without its contents. It may make sense for me to carry it as I will be least encumbered by it when I adopt my other shapes." Hraefn accepted the pack. "I am curious about the helm, since it seems to have various languages inscribed on it, if it is one that aids the wearer in understanding languages, then I shall direct my animal communications to that wearer when I am in one of my forms so that all of you can still understand me."

"Alright then! If we've got everything, let's head out." Ilwyn shouts, not unlike some kind of army commander, granted with more of a grin on her face. "Merri, we'll have you back to your scoundrel-self in no time. Till then, try not to make any more work for the healer, though."

Aye, let’s move. I say, grabbing the full quiver of arrows.

Leaving the troll remains to the scavengers of nature you all return to the road where your contingent of men and Gaston await. Excited and thrilled at the gifting of the troll tooth, he bids you all safe journeys and departs for Grasmere, prodding his horse into a gallop not long after. Ahead, the winding road awaits, and after settling in you continue on your journey.

This leg of your travels is calm and smooth, with a cool breeze and falling temperatures combining with a bit warmer day to keep your blood flowing. Through rest and a bit of magical healing, you soon recover from your recent encounter with the troll, bringing spirits higher.

Within two days, you pass through Hartland, more of a weigh station than a town, but you are able to procure additions to your supplies as well as water for the next stage. Elavain informs you that it will be three days to Tycha, barring any delay, so the soldiers in your company stock food adequately. Looking to the road, you see that it twists and turns along the base of the growing hills to the northeast, the first indication that you are in the outer edges of the Barrier Peaks.
OOC:
I'll stop the timeline here to allow you all to accomplish anything either in Hartland or during the trip through the forested hills.

OOC:
How are we splitting the loot, for the record? Not too worried about splitting the gold, but did we assign the magic items?
Ilwyn takes the front of the march, with the exception of letting their guide lead, and spends most of the morning chatting to her retainer Pressa as she rides alongside. Eventually though, she calls back. "How's the leg holding up, Merriweather?" She is clearly in high spirits. "It shouldn't be long to Tycha now, you'll be back on your feet in no time. Hopefully further away from the enemy, however." She grins.

Were we able to spend the time to fully identify the magical helmet?
