Sure, but it went like this.
1. It’s 6:30am. I haven’t had coffee. I type my post
2. Ooo, I missed the apostrophe in "she’s" edit post, and re-read
3. Errr.... that last bit reads like a cheesy chat up line. Hit edit again
4. Yeah but IRL we sometimes say things that, on reflection, aren’t quite right. I leave the post but add an OOC
5. Before hitting send, I think, naaah- let’s let the dice decide whether my comment came across as intended. Mavis has +1 cha, how bad could it be?
6. It’s a 3. Seriously?!
7. Fair nuff. I best narrate her social awkwardness.
And that, m’lud, is how what was intended as a polite exchange came to be a #MeToo moment.
I’d ask for a +1 dagger, but I’d only stab myself.
Edit: and if it’s not clear, the last bit was social awkwardness, not flirting. Mavis was looking at the stitching, not Ruby’s chest.
Oh boy. Moving on. Yes, a +1 dagger would be lovely!
