Question 4: How does your character stand out within their school?

Adaptability - always one to take surprises or changes in circumstances in his stride he became quite well know for his ability to change his approach swiftly when needed.

Chatper 5: Who is your lord and what is your character’s duty to them?

His family have a long tradition of being Yojimbo to the Kitsuki Investigators. He has been earmarked for such a role to a young samurai who is approaching their Gempuku. His reluctance to take on this duty and potentially be tied to one location has lead him to become Ronin for a time as custom allows.

Chapter 6: What does your character long for, and how might this impede their duty?

He yearns to visit and experience new places and finds being tied to one location for extended periods to be frustrating.

Question 7: What is your character’s relationship with their clan?

Whilst most Dragon favour the ideal of an individuals search for enlightenment Minato takes this belief a touch too far in the eyes of some of his peers.

Minato beleives in Bushido as an ideal but not as something to be rigidly adhered to at the exclusion of everything else.

Question 9: What is your character’s greatest accomplishment so far?

During one summer his family were hosting a visiting Unicorn dignitary and during a tour of the lands their youngest son was attacked by a mountain cat. Before anyone else could react Minato lept forwads and struck at the animal with a branch that was lying nearby, forcing it off before the Unicorns son was too badly hurt.

Question 10: What holds your character back the most in life?

He is always disatisfied at home as he longs to travel and visit new lands. This has lead to his marriage being an unhappy one, his wife resenting his lack of commitment and being jealous of the fact that he is out in the world whilst she is tied to their home. The marriage was arrange between him and one of the Unicorn dignitaries daughters.

He feels most centered, most alive when mere inches from death.

Question 12: What concern, fear, or foible troubles your character the most?

Minato bores easilly and frequently makes rash decisions due to lack of fair consideration.

Once Minato's betrothal was arranged he spent many days with his future wife's father. The stories he told of his travels, particular those about his travels outside of the Empire, lit a fire in Minato's mind and he found a firm freindship with his father in law

Question 14: What do people notice first upon encountering your character?

Minato is more often than not smiling. He carries with him an ornate fan decorated in an unconventional manner (it is a Gajin style but most would not recognise this at first glance) gifted to him by his father in-law.

Usually Minato jumps at the quickest possible course to resolve the situation regardless of how risky it may be.

Question 16: What are your character’s preexisting relationships with other clans, families, organizations, and traditions?

Minato is curious and open to other clans ideas and traditions. This has lead to him having generally positive encounters with the representatives of other clans he has met in the past however those of a more traditional stance find his unconventional attitude somewhat offputting.

He was once gifted a Go set from a Lion bushi he ended up in a duel with. Minato lost the duel but the Lion was suitably impressed with his conduct that he offered the gift.

Minato's parents are continually frustrated by his sensibilities and desire to shirk his duty to see the world but this is tempered with the acceptance that he is walking his own path. They have tried their best to teach him what is expected in civilised society

Has vowed to return to Unicorn lands in one year and share what knowledge was gathered with the Meishodo school.

Always eager to go to a new place, finds places previously visited lackluster and uninteresting. Wishes to see all of Rokugan before returning home.

Is a model Unicorn in some senses, driven to novelty-seeking and travel. Not particularly ambitious, however, and was subtly driven out. Didn't mind this too much, however, as it is a chance to travel.

Was appointed at a young age to adjudicate a dispute between students that was a proxy for a dispute between families. His ruling was so fair and honest that it helped set precedent for resolving, or at least sweeping under the rug.
