Altrix gets +5 damage for your Dex bonus to the bow attack. As mentioned, the critical means you can roll damage a second time (also adding the +5 to it).
Your minimum critical damage (1+5 + 1+5) exceeds his remaining hit points, so you drop the knight as he raises his sword to plunge it into Trev's chest.
The other two share a look, and one turns to disappear into the gloom, while the other prepares to fight to the death. (At least, they will on their turn.)

As the situation turns dire, Valinar begins to wonder whether any of them will make it out of here alive. He acknowledges he has failed as a leader; the blood of these five brave souls will be on his hands. Surely, then he will be exposed as a fraud.
But then Atrix's arrow fells the hobgoblin knight - the champion that Valinar boasted he would smite to the ground - and suddenly there is a glimmer of hope. Though he longs to finally strike a blow to these foes (he has yet to draw enemy blood!) Valinar sees Hasan fading. He's got to find a way to bring them all back alive! He drops his flail and reaches down to touch the man's forehead.

The other two Hobgoblins shared a look when their leader dropped, and the wounded one turns, disappearing into the gloom, while the other prepares to fight to the death. He attacks Ruby without regard for his own safety.

"You should surrender!" Ruby says earnestly, sidestepping the obvious blow. Thinking he needs some sense smacked into his skull she goes for a downward staff strike, planting it into the ground to vault herself and deliver a kick to his head.

Seeing that the fight was over and knowing there was nothing else he could do so he collapsed in a heap. He rummaged in his pack before removing his tobacco and pipe amd began to puff on it. Once he had calmed down sufficiently, he pulled out one of his daggers and crossed to the knight. Continuing to puff on the pipe he began to saw off the cheeks, tounge, as well as taking what organ meat he could. This would be a feast to remember once they had a chance to rest. While he butchered the hob, he gave it a once over looking for anything of value.
Also regarding Altrix's habbits with the Hob, remember he is a reptile.
