You know there is still one left right?

Death save 4
OOC:
that's three successful death saves. Iathos is now stable and unconscious for 1d4 hours - being three. First night of adventuring and I very nearly died! Definitely something to write home about.

Ruby pummels the remaining hobgoblin, and he drops to ground with a satisfying crunch.

Combat is over.

The fallen have all been stabilized.

Valinar tends to Iathos and Hasan, making sure they are stable before he goes to retrieve his weapon.

OOC:
Wait a minute, I just remembered I already healed Hasan with Lay On Hands. Same with Trev. So who else needs tending? Iathos already self-stabilized.

OOC:
Any chance we can have a short rest so as to enable rolling a hit die for recovered hit points?
Jan 11, 2019 10:22 pm
OOC:
Maybe. Wait? Do you hear reinforcements? Nah, you're just paranoid.
You could take a short rest, however, for Iathos who is unconscious and stable, he would get no benefit from a short rest. He will gain 1 hit point after 1d4 hours, after which he could take a short rest.

What do you do?
Jan 11, 2019 10:27 pm
OOC:
Iathos will be up in 3 hours, then, unless anyone has some healing to spare?
Jan 11, 2019 11:23 pm
Did you see that hit paladin I owned this beast
OOC:
Obviously hiding his failure with extra bluster

OOC:
It got a chuckle out of me. Also sorry Jovian.
"Great work everyone!" Ruby collapses her staff and wipes the sweat from her brow. Pulling out her rope she uses some of it bind the Hobgoblin. "Can someone carry this oaf for me? I think we should question him after we make sure everyone's ok."
OOC:
They got any interesting loot on them?
Jan 12, 2019 12:54 am
"Sorry i wasn't much help, I think i took down one before getting knocked out."
OOC:
dang did i miss that much combat :D

You bind the one hobgoblin (stabilized and unconscious). Leaving Iathos to freeze in the dirt until he gets with the program is decides to get better on his own, you begin looting the place.

From the three bush-based hobgoblins, they are each wearing steel breastplates emblazoned with a pair of crossed axes. They also have hand axes (2 each), shields, and longswords. All of their equipment is well maintained. They each have small parcels of food, waterskins, and personal pouches that have four square, gold coins with the same crossed axe sigil.

The knight was wearing a suit of lamellar armor (same stats as Scale Armor), which is made from small enameled, rectangular plates of iron laced into rows. He carries a very fine, curved sword with a razor sharp edge despite Trev's best efforts to bravely dull it with his own body. He has a dozen of these square gold coins, and similar other provisions (food, skin, shield, hand axes).

The farmhouse is empty, and thoroughly looted. The hobgoblin appear to have been camping inside, but have left it fairly orderly.

OOC:
when I wake up I would not mind a breast plate if there's one to spare

OOC:
DM can we get an exact value on all the gold coins etc that we find on the hobgoblins?
As everyone began to loot the bodies of the hobgoblin and secured the prisoner, Altrix continued to puff on his pipe and surveyed the group.

Well that was fun." he said chuckling,Maybe next time we should consider checking out what we are calling out before we do it. Still, this had its own merits."

OOC:
Not unless you have some kind of knowledge that would apply. I've started a Party Treasure thread

The moment the last hobgoblin goes down, Valinar leaves the others to their looting and tends to Hasan. He has no more healing energy left, but he carries the tiefling into the farmouse and makes sure he is comfortable. He also starts searching the house for the Polvers. If they are not there, he will search the barn.

If the family is nowhere to be found, Valinar will search for clues as to where they might have been taken. Perhaps those clues are to be found on the hobgoblin's corpses, or to be gained after interrogating the hobgoblin prisoner.

Once the others rejoin him: "Good work, everyone. I must admit, barging in like that may have been ill-advised. Though in all honesty those ambushers were probably onto us the moment we arrived on the property."

Hasan would get Ithaos and prop him against the building while he rests.
OOC:
i dont recall did we say were taking an SR?
Jan 12, 2019 8:29 am
OOC:
Valinar took Iathos into the farmhouse. If you've joined us, then we are all indoors. Yeah someone did suggest a Short Rest, but Qralloq hasn't given the go ahead.

OOC:
oh very well i missed the moving of him then. Yea i'd be there ya know to keep the peace and such :D
Jan 12, 2019 8:33 am
OOC:
Oops, sorry, Qralloq did give the go ahead. But Iathos won't benefit from it, so I wonder if it would be safer to go back to town after we've searched for the family, or for clues?

I suggest:
1. Search the place.
2. Go back to town, rest up, interrogate the hob there if there's still a need.

Because, you know, their buddies might show up at the farm.
