Hasan goes up to Valinar "You think it may be these who has slown the dragon's tribute? If this mass is as big as it says it is shear numbers might could stand up to such a dragon as she."
Jan 14, 2019 9:11 pm
Iathos looks grim. "Unpleasant choices. I agree we must find the dragons, or discover what happened to them. But we also need to find a way to let the Mayor know of the threat he faces. A hobgoblin army is a serious danger to the town. Could we spare a few hours to warn them before we set out?"

I think we don’t have the time. We either save one village or hundreds of villages. They are prepared as they ever are going to get We need to push forward at all costs.

"As much as I would like to track the Hobgoblins to their source and attempt to end their raids, we came across one small group and nearly died." Altrix said,"As for what our best course of action would be, I believe our best option is to find the dragon and convince it to kill this Empress. Cut off the head of the snake and the body will die. We may be able to convince to do so due to the plunder the hobgoblins have no doubt gathered. If not, I'm sure the village would be willing to pay handsomely but I will follow the group."

"Altrix is right, we will need more allies if these hobgoblins are an army strong. Hopefully the dragons are on speaking terms, otherwise we may already be too late, no matter how many villages we warn."
Jan 15, 2019 9:57 am
Agreed Ruby and Altrix. We don’t have time to wait, we don’t have time to wallow in self pity, but most importantly we don’t have time to lose. As much as I hate saying this let’s go find a dragon

"Then it's settled. We go find the dragons. I say we make for the tribute cave. But first there is the matter of our prisoner."
Jan 15, 2019 11:09 am
Dragonborns keep no prisoners. I say we give him a swift death and move on now. He is a beast and not worth the time saving him.
Jan 15, 2019 2:31 pm
Valinar nods, and moves to loom over the hobgoblin. "We will grant you the mercy I promised, even though you have done nothing to deserve it. This mercy is named Ann." Then Valinar nods to Trev.
Jan 15, 2019 3:59 pm
Trev looks at the hobgoblin and swings down Ann Goodbye
Jan 15, 2019 6:57 pm
At the mention of moving on Hasan goes outside and gathers the others not in the room and the supplies and awaits.
Jan 15, 2019 7:17 pm
As the axe falls, the hobgoblin's last words are, "We have your drag-" KACHUNK, and his head rolls on the floor, forever speechless.
Jan 15, 2019 7:21 pm
A sharp intake of breath, followed by a string of angry cursing in elven. "Any chance that dog was bluffing? Do you think they have the dragons?"
Jan 15, 2019 7:40 pm
I think that is entirely possible. The fact is we have no clue where the dragon went and they could have it. If they do we are screwed so pray to your god that they dont

Iathos is aghast. Visions of his parents falling before hordes of Hobgoblins flash before his mind's eye. His stomach churns at the summary execution of the Hob knight; and his faith in the sanity of his companions gutters.

"That was... what? He offered to lead us to his enclave! He could have told us more! The town is not even a day's walk away! What is this? You storm this house without scouting, and nearly get us killed. You execute our only witness to the goings on of the Hobgoblins after a few cursory questions. We could have turned him over to the town guard! For questioning! Over the course of days! Whilst we continued searching! Two birds and one stone, and all that!"

Iathos stomach rolls and he stumbles outside to vomit noisily.

"Go adventuring, they said. See the world, they said." He laughs bitterly. "We're doomed."
Jan 15, 2019 11:31 pm
"Understand the Town Guard is composed of myself and a hand full of others. We couldn't to much better then what just happend here." Hasan says as he turns hearing that. "Right now, the best defense is the best Offense and the only true offense we had was the Dragon. SO. If its last letters were any thing like i think they were our only chance is to get to the Dragon and release her."

Goes outside by Iathos Listen Iathos at times the life of an adventurer is all about choices. The choices we make can determine whether people your families and those you love can die. Are you willing to be responsible for their lives. Do you want their blood on tour hands. One second of delay can cost lives. Let me tell you the story of Ann. I was out and my wife and daughter were at home. I was hunting to feed our family. A group of soldiers swarmed my house assuming dragonborns are just mini dragons and slaughtered them I returned to their bodies cut nearly in two. If I was home I could’ve saved them and now they are no longer here because I wasn’t around. I live it with their blood on my hands daily.

Ruby remains quiet throughout this revelation and subsequent (if not deserved) outbursts, deciding it is wiser to hold her tongue. "Well at least we know where one of the dragons is..." She says hesitantly, twiddling her thumbs.

Altrix said nothing, the death of the hobgoblin meant very little to him. While they may have been able to get more information from the hobgoblin, he also appreciated that time was of the essence and they couldn't play twenty questions with him. There was also no point in lugging it back to town, just to be summarily questioned and executed. He lit his pipe and began puffing deeply, feeling the tobacco calm his nerves.

"Shall we?" he asked the group almost rhetorically, there was little left to be done here and time was the essence.
