OOC:
I think from the dm comment above that it's taken as read that we've left the house and are now outside and have seen something in a clearing to the east?
Jan 18, 2019 6:56 pm
OOC:
That doesn’t mean we have to go there lol

"I believe we should be heading to the cave, I believe the best course of action right now is finding our dragon protectorate." Hasan says as hes gathering his gear.
Jan 18, 2019 11:30 pm
"Finding the dragons is the top priority now. For the Plovers, for Allaya's Cove, possibly for the whole region, depending on the size of this goblin force-- Hello, what'sthat to the east?"

Qralloq sent a note to campeador
... the sunlight fades and there is nothing there but a trick of the light.
Jan 19, 2019 7:22 pm
OOC:
How is the sunlight fading we just got up for the day? Is it for flavor?
Jan 19, 2019 8:33 pm
Iathos carefully limbers his long sword in its sheath and tests the buckles of his shiny new breastplate to ensure a secure fit. "Trick of the light or no", he thinks, "I'll be damned if I get taken down so easily again."

He carefully scans his immediate surroundings as the party moves out; keeping alert for any signs of trouble.
OOC:
Gah! Unperceptive tiefling is unperceptive.

"Don't meet the sun's gaze with your own, you'll go blind." Ruby says, shielding her eyes while trying to peek at the fading radiance.

Sorry, the small patch of sunlight faded, as described earlier:
Qralloq says:
After a meal, you pack your things, about to head off, when you see to the east, a flash of white in a clearing filled with sunlight, while the area is otherwise under cloud cover, perhaps a half mile away.

Valinar's heart catches in his throat at the indescribable beauty of the unicorn. Oh, what a gift! And it wiuld seem the others did not see it as he did. It's almost enough to give one sime actual faith in the gods. Rifling in his pack, he picks out the symbol of Mielikki from among the others.

"I have been given guidance. We go to the cave, find the wyrmling, then come back here and seek help." the paladin says with conviction. Then, he shoulders his weapon and sets out.

"My vote would be to hunt down the raiding party, then perhaps we can infiltrate the camp and release the dragon if it still lives." Altrix said,"Having a very large, very pissed off dragon would no doubt handle the situation for us. We could eliminate two birds with one stone, without us having to risk ourselves."
Jan 20, 2019 6:11 am
"I think Valinar just experienced a vision, I've a feeling he will not be persuaded from his path." Ruby grabs her pack, chasing after him. "Did this guidance tell you where the dragon is?"
Jan 20, 2019 2:05 pm
Valinar keeps walking as he talks. "It did not. But we are urged to go to the cave and find the wyrmling before anything else. This is my course, even if I must go alone."

I am not much for stealthy sneaking around so going to the camp would be pointless. I would never make it into the camp. Let us be off Val

We would be fools to ignore the urging of a goddess. Let us be off.

With everyone save Altrix agreeing to move to the cave (which is the area where the mayor believes the dragon to make its lair rather than the meeting cave which is back toward the town), you head into the wilderness. You notice fairly soon that you are headed in mostly the same direction as the smaller group of hobgoblins that headed north. While you are aimed more east, the land moves easier north first to go around a rugged, rocky hill.

After an hour, you have proceeded around the hill and are oriented east toward the mountains. Hasan notices that the way seems noticeably easier than the last time he made this journey, though how exactly, he might have a hard time explaining.

Let's get each of you to make either a Perception or a Survival check.
