Gameplay - The Dragon Who Took Too Little

Iathos draws a bead on the Hobs and continues attempting to blast them into oblivion.

Retcon: Iathos' spell from last round hit, dealing 2 damage to H1.

Ruby brandishing her staff like a maniac, catches the same hob across the jaw with a horrific crack, and he crumples to the ground, twitching and spasming.

Iathos attacks the other but misses entirely.

H1 is down. The second is unwounded.

Atrix watched as one of the hobgoblins were taken down and as the second hobgoblin tried to get around his comrade, he aimed and fired his bow.

Trev kills the hobgoblin in a single blow.

Combat is over.

The farm is empty. They're are no people, no food, no Hobgoblins. There is a sign of blood near the shed, and piecing it together, you guess it must be the farmer that subsequently got zombiefied.

Tracks lead into the woods, back toward the trail you were in. You find a stash of sundry food, and it looks like the two Hobgoblins were partway through making a dry stash for later. Further tracks show three hobs and tracks from a woman's shoes continuing East.

The hobs are wearing chainmail, and have shields and well used swords. They each have four of those odd gold coins.

Following the instructions and crude map the Mayor gave you, you arrive a few hours later at the area where he thinks the dragon cave is. You're in a narrow gorge at the foot of a mountain, between a few arroyos and mesas.
