Secret Roll

OOC:
Rolls secret roll sounds terribly ominous.

somebox says:
"Should we have brought some food?" Ruby pitches in...
"We did." Valinar replies, meaningfully. "Believe me, we did."

campeador says:
As everyone eventually makes the climb, Valinar let's them catch their breath as he regathers the ropes. "Is everyone alright?"
Hasan will huff and puff until his breath is caught form climbing up the face. "That. Was hard. Er then I. Remember."

Didn't we get the offerings? Hasan asks as hes readying his equipment in case of trouble.

Trev using survival searches for signs about this dragon if it is actually a dragon

Rolls

Survival - (1d20+3)

(2) + 3 = 5

Atrix makes his way forward into the gloom, incredibly slowly. As he crept forward, Atrix took off his backpack and reached into it and took out a small bag of sand. He threw the bag of sand up and down a few times getting the weight of it before he threw it into the gloom, aiming for what he suspected was a pressure plate in the floor.

"We are only sending 1 to scout?" Hasan asks a bit quizzically.

A ten by ten foot put snaps open with a dunk this, centered I the intersection. Below, you can see a ten foot drop to the bottom. The pit begins swinging upwards slowly as some hidden counterweight acts to reset the trap. Soon, the pit is coveted again, almost entirely hidden from view.

To pass the trap, a Strength (Athletics) or Dexterity (Acrobatics) check vs DC 10 will be required to bump over or sneak around the edge. Failure will result in a Dexterity saving throw or go into the pit.

Valinar ties a rope around his own waist and hands the loose end to Trev before attempting to leap across the pit.

Rolls

Athletics - (1d20+4)

(11) + 4 = 15

Mar 6, 2019 1:41 pm
With Valinar across and the rope in place you can all safely cross (without the requested checks). Which way do you go?
Mar 6, 2019 5:21 pm
OOC:
splunking rules always go right because the badguys are always wrong XD
Mar 6, 2019 9:26 pm
OOC:
Qralloq, could we please have an updated map? I don't see an intersection on the last one.
Mar 6, 2019 9:49 pm
Ruby looks to the left, forward, right, back left, right again. She sighs, whispering in case of eavesdroppers. "Maybe...right? How does a dragon even fit in here?"
OOC:
Whatever way is fine with me.

Atrix made his way across and without waiting, continued to push forward into the gloom, his sense alert for anything that might be watching them. He knew enough about dragons to know that this was unlikely to be the entrance it would use itself. They would normally have a number of entries and exits. Atrix didn't voice that to his companions though since dragons of all colours were notoriously bad-tempered when their secrets were divulged.
OOC:
I'm going to push up straight ahead towards 6. I have added perception and stealth rolls just in case you need either. If not disregard.

Rolls

Perception - (1d20+3)

(19) + 3 = 22

Stealth - (1d20+7)

(14) + 7 = 21

Mar 7, 2019 12:18 pm
Atrix find that the passage end in a larger empty space (marked 6) with no exits.
Mar 8, 2019 4:34 am
Ruby will follow after Atrix, the absence of screaming or any kind of retreat a signal to press on. "Ah. An...empty room?" She says mostly to herself, not quite sure what to make of it. "Maybe it's not fully developed yet."
OOC:
Hmmm...
Mar 8, 2019 4:44 am
While Atrix can see in the dark, what are those without Darkvision doing to see?
Mar 8, 2019 5:09 am
"Well at least we know this way is out Ruby. Let's rejoin the others and what did you suggest earlier? Go to the right?" he said before making his way back into the main chamber with the rest of the group.
Mar 8, 2019 6:22 am
"Right. I mean yes, that would sounds great." Ruby sticks close to Atrix, using her new staff as a quasi-white cane along with hugging the wall, lest she run into it. "I could light a torch if need be, but I don't think we want that right now."
OOC:
Right, we're in the dark.
