Only purely mechanical i'll roll for the con save because the fail could insta kill me. so... yea... Also is the sting supposed to be 4d8 or 4d10?

Cool so KO'd."So umm... what happened? Wheres the Giant Scorpion?"

"We beat it! Then it crumbled into the sand." Ruby jumps for joy now that the ordeal is over, helping both Hasan and Valinar back up and dusting them off slightly. "And we got some allies. Quite a harrowing experience if I do say so."

"I'd say" Hasan noticing the new creatures "AH! he startles quickly grasping for his weapon. "What or who are they!? Another test?"

Knowing Hasan terrible habit of being terrible to people he just met, Hehsh quickly steps between him and the insect people. "Forgive him. He has social issues. We are thankful to the des-zt-ert people. We will call on you soon."

"Wait what?! I don't quite understand. These are part of the boy in the well?"

"I am not a librarian Hasan, I don't know either. The point is we aren't dead."

Under his breath Hehsh whispers, "The boy was the illusion. Just like the scorpion. Stop embarassing us in front of our new allies."

"Well then Illusions or not. If were done here we should be getting on. Theres a little to do and a lot of time to do it." Hasan brushes off his clothes of the sand. "Say... Any idea which we need to head now? 1 by land 2 by sea?"

MystWynd's instructions

If no one else wants to do anything here, Hehsh will head off towards the valley where the Pixies are.

You no doubt hustle out of the blistering heat, only to have to climb a hard rocky slope, but when you pass through the ridge and into the cooler forest beyond, the memory of heat fades from you. The sweat smell, not so quickly.

MystWynd the pixie wrinkles his nose with distaste, and with a wave of his wings, flutters about you, intoning in the high speed high pitch pixie language. As if his wings create a magical wind, you feel refreshed and clean.

"I saw the desert people pay homage to you. They will join the forces of the forest then?"

"Sounds like it." Hasan huffs and puffs more then he should for a fit guard type. "Just ... lets not. go back into that desert. place. sand...."

"Not before going through a 'trial' of sorts. I don't suppose the other potential recruits will have less strenuous initiations?"

MystWynd replies, "I don't know about any trials, what did the desert people make you do to gain their trust?"

He leads you back into the forest, the unbearable desert heat slowly becoming only an unpleasant memory.

A few hours later, you arrive at a cave mouth in a hill. You enter, and the pixie says, "They live down there. All I can say about them is they fiercely guard their secrets, but once you earn their trust, I'm told, they make the staunchest of allies. Be true, and brave."

"Are these the bird people, or the river people?"

"River people wouldn't live underground, silly!" MystWynd shakes his head as if admonishing a small child's foolish mistake.

"Neither would bird people..." Hasan replies to both.

"I think bats live in caves actually." Ruby tosses a pebble into the cave, just to sure there isn't a gaping hole waiting to swallow them up. "Only one way to learn I suppose. No fear." She pulls out a few torches, looking ready to ignite them. "I just hope they aren't the sort who attack strangers looking for their help."

"Bats are not birds Ruby, but I agree. Lets hope for the best." Hasan would take a Torch in 1 hand and his weapon in the other.
