Talk to me about DnD Worldbuilding

I think one GM device that I want to use more is to petrify characters, and then restore them at the appropriate part. A thousand years go by, and it is no time at all for them.

Time spent in the Fey world is not always the same as in the "real" world, so that could be another reason for a time jump.

OH yea that fey jump... roll the d20, could spend minuites could be years. could only be seconds.. also would you remember {scary woo'ing}

Thanks the the ideas guys! It actually gave me a thematically appropriate idea for being able to retain the same characters through both arcs. I just need to finish up the city and I think I'd have a homebrew setting that I could actually run something in. Thats never happened before :p
