Chapter Four: Castle Naerytar

Jon doesn't have much difficulty making it to the first hut. As far as he can tell, no one has noticed his approach.

Doing her best to keep her armor from rattling, Leema move outs low and slow.

Bughu moves last, hoping to secure the party's progress towards the castle.

You all manage to cross the 'village' of kobolds and make it to the main entrance, which is a gate that's currently open. Inside, you see a room that's about 100 feet across and 60 feet wide. A hallway runs along to the east. The floor appears to be covered in mud (still wet) and a staircase leads up on the other side of the room.

Occupying the room are ten bullywugs, humanoid frogs, and four very large frogs. They are clearly guards of some kind, but aren't paying much attention to what's going on around them.

Instinctively reaching for her weapon, Leema pauses, waiting to see how the others are reacting.

Bughu tries to see if there are any non-frog tracks in the mud that might indicate the presence of other humanoids that pass through the area. "Maybe we can bluff our way past them if we can pose as cultists, or mercenaries under their employ," he says, conveying the formation of ideas in his mind.

They are certainly strange creatures. We could attempt to bluff our way through that way, yes. Perhaps. I wish we knew who this lot was willing to fight for. I'll follow your lead. Nod if you think I should attempt any kind of magic on them. he says, the last part to Bughu specifically.

Leema adjusts her makeshift hood. "I’ll let one of you do any talking that needs done."

Bughu says, "The cultists must go through here. Or is there an alternate entrance? Anyone see a trail?" He looks to see if he can spot non-frog tracks in the mud.

Crouching, Leema does her best to see if she can pick out some sort of tracks.

You don't see any tracks, but the mud is wet, so it could still be a fresh coat.

"Well, here goes," says Bughu. He makes his way to the entrance and looks to take the edge around the mud for the hallway to the east.

"Right behind you!" I quietly follow 10 feet behind Bughu.

Leema falls in line, keeping pace with the others.

Erich follows, feeling the burn of magic just under the surface of his skin. Just jump, one of you froggy bastards. I've been hungry for a bit.

Bughu advances as much as he can.
