Upon the thought that Ilmadia might have taught Lance the game of prestidigitation, a thought comes to him.

"Mona?" he asks, once they finish their game. He sits down cross-legged next to her. "I have an important question. When I found you and we tried to get away, I was attacked. Instead of getting hurt myself, though, you let yourself get hurt instead. How did you learn to do that? Did Ilmadia teach you about Ilmater?"

Saki listens quietly while watching Zenithral play with the twins.

Mona giggles. "I wouldn’t let the scary elf hurt my brother."

Her tail flicks through the air. The tip looks to be developing a barb of some kind. "Mother said life might be hard. Harder than her life. She said he might help. Help to endure."

The cambion’s ears perk up at some unheard sound, and she hops up to perch on the seat of a nearby chair to admire an insect crawling about. She is fully distracted, and engaging her in further conversation is difficult.

"Perhaps Ilmadia listened to some of what you taught after all," Zenithral says to Saki, continuing to watch Harmony and Valiance.

Wait...she knew I was her brother even then...? Hm...
