Interest Check: Armitage Inquiry Campaign (CoC 7E)

Alright, alright, alright.

As my current classic-era CoC7E game likely nears it's dire conclusion, the wheels are spinning in regards to what I might want to run next. I've long wanted to run a long-term, campaign-style game centered around the Miskatonic University and the organization of the Armitage Inquiry. Probably ultimately a combination of published material and my own content. Episodic, "monster of the week [six months in GP time]" style, by and large, but with the possibility of a long-term conspiracy narrative as well (think of the way The X-Files was structured).

I know that a PbP long-term campaign is ambitious. My plan is to start with running Blackwater Creek from the Keeper's Screen pack as an intro, and see where that takes us (and how long it takes). I have 3 interested players already, and would be looking to recruit at least 3 more players to start before I launch.

Long term campaigns are not all that ambitious. I had one on another site than ran for well over five years. And there is one here that was started there before mine did and it's still running here. I'm guessing about 10 years now. And I'm always up for any CoC game. I already have a professor from Miskatonic built. He's been in a game here that seems to have died out. You may know him since you're in the same game. His name is Dr. Leonard Pavlich.

Btw, Santouche, Congratulations! Your post at the top of the thread was the 10,000th post on the forums. I meant to say something the other day when I saw it happen and forgot.

Aldrusian - no worries. I'm gonna let this hang a little bit and see what sort of other interest there is out there, if any. Since you're already in one of my games, I'm gonna see if other folks wanna get in first, but I seriously doubt it will be an issue

What date were you considering using for this adventure into your insane mind? In keeping with the atmosphere of the game.

In game date? The campaign will begin at the beginning of the 1926 academic year, in late September.
