Interest Check - B1: Search for the Unknown

Dungeon Module B1: Search for the Unknown is an introductory D&D module from 1979. Anyone interested in experiencing what dungeon crawls were like back then? (Except for the unclear, inconsistent, or downright missing rules from the days of yore.) The monsters and game mechanics will be converted to 5e, but pretty much everything else will be the same for your first level characters.

If there's enough interest (3-6 players), I'll start this up in about a couple of weeks.

Does that fighter have a patch (like a pirate) over his right eye or is he wearing Geddy Lee / Les Claypool style sunglasses? I prefer to think the latter, like he's too cool to be messing around with a bunch of fungus. I suspect he believes the wizard is a crackpot, the cleric a zealot, and the halfling a dishonest pickpocket, yet there he is, swinging is longsword around. And for what? A pocket full of gold and gems? He likely believes he really needs to re-think his life, but knows that now's not the time to be thinking about such things.

@Airickson Looking at the actual cover, it might just be some overinked shadowing. However, I like your explanation (and backstory) better. In fact, I am thinking of replacing one of the random magic items with magical "sunglasses."

I ran that game when it first came out. I started playing D&D in '78. Too bad I can't remember any of it but I'd love to play it again.
