Evelynn takes the object, a confused expression on her face that none of the others can see in the dark, but follows their master into the next room and listens to his instructions.
A spike of fear threads through her as she learns that one of these creatures might mean them harm. Is it a snake? A predator of some sort...? Surely Master Selak wouldn't want them killed, but he has said before that sometimes bruises are the best lessons one can learn.
Shoving down her fear, she sits down, the object their Master had given them in her hands which are folded in her lap, and tries to find that calm, quiet place within herself as she reaches out through the Force, intentionally not using her own special vision as she feels that would defeat the purpose of this test.
OOC:
She will use that light pip to sense the creature, and its intentions if she can. Do you want me to interpret the result, or are you going to do it?
As she sits, breathing deeply and feeling at the life around her, thinking on Master Selak's constraint refrain that the Force flows from all life, connects it, and binds it she can't help but hear the rustling as the creatures move around the room. She can feel Master Selak, a solid pillar of life, of energy and power under incredibly contained resolve. She can feel Piodas and Kit, both like her, slightly nervous, but each a font of life energy as well. Outwards from them she feels the creatures, moving about, some startled by their group's sudden arrival, others merely going about their business. As serenity and the peace of harmonious life energy washes over her, she suddenly feels it.
Of the thirteen creatures that had been in this room prior to their entry, most either don't care about the new arrivals or had already reacted to their presence and gotten over it. All except one. As she sensed it, she knew it. One of the odder denizens of their cave structure. She didn't know the name for it, Xenology was never a subject she studied, but she knew a few things. The creature was aggressive, territorial, and could be vicious. It was also a coward, in a way. Master Selak had used them in a lesson, many years ago, about something he called "a bully". He said that, like a bully, these creatures acted far, far tougher than they were and the best way to deal with them was a strong show of force.
