As to continuing, I am leaning away from it, but I have no alternate plans. If the adventure idea you have for the EM is interesting, them count me in. Otherwise, we're stuck with a roaming samurai seeking glory and renown in her own name.
Well the adventure I was thinking of was the published one on the FFG website (Palace of the Emerald Champion I think) as the adventure in the Starter Set pretty much leads straight into it but if you're not really interested then we can do something else (I have a few things rattling around). One thing I'm thinking is leading off of a bit of text in a sidebar in the main rule book that I've copied below:
LIFE ON THE WAVES
Many samurai voluntarily become rōnin for a single year, typically in the year or the second following their gempuku. Considered to be a healthy outlet for a young samurai’s desire to prove themself, this allows them to sharpen their skills and temper their attitudes with experience. Having experienced hardship in the outer Empire, most return and swear fealty to the clan anew with true loyalty rather than an inculcated sense of duty.
So what I'm thinking is that after the Topaz Championship Kashita will take a 'gap year' to decide what they want to do with the EM offer and it also seems like a very Unicorn thing to do. Hows that sound as a base to start off with?

Hmmm I have not thought about my character I don't even know where to begin. I have the core rule book tho.
Qralloq says:
In the 5e book, Jackwolfking, there are 20 questions. Answer those questions (making come choices along the way) and you'll have built your character.
As Qralloq says it's pretty much just working your way through the 20 questions, each choice you make will add bit's that help you build your character. Any questions or anything you need clarifying just speak out.

I think I managed to build a decently cold Dragon. GM-san, let me know if some things don’t add up, I’ll make the necessary amends.
Also, does any of you have any tip on where to find an L5R avatar?
Thanks, I'll take a look over it tomorrow. As for an avatar I've found Pinterest to be quite a useful resource, either that or a Google image search.
