With The scoobster as the distraction as the rest of his allies shift to the other statue. Shaggy, landing the final poke on the statue crumbling it to pieces.

Almost a second later, a flurry of attacks rips the other statue apart as Griol ignites it momentarily and Esvelle pounds a chunk from its stony flesh. Dargen was able to lay the statue to rest as his claw like hands rip through the statue tearing it a new one.... .... literally..

Combat is complete!

This room is a raised platform, a step up from the foyer and the tea room, and is situated at the bottom of the stairwell. There is a cushioned sitting couch in the south-west corner of the room, it has an old worn children’s doll laying on it.

In the north-east corner is the stairwell climbing up and down. Blocking the stairwell is a portcullis. Situated to the right of the stairwell is a
statue of a griffon sitting atop of a pedestal holding up one of its front talons as if it were trying to knock on something.

A large sunken room with a fireplace and hearth situated in the north-west corner, many such a manor. This would be the Tea Room. There are three small round tables for guests to sit and consume tea and other assorted refreshments. A glass chandelier hangs on a sturdy chain from high above.

"Haha this looks like our kind of room, Scoob!" Shaggy sits at one of the tables and mimes daintily drinking tea with pinky finger extended. "Not!" Shaggy tosses the imaginary teacup over his shoulder. "Like, got any cake?"

Melissa will examine the portcullis to see if she can determine how it might be raised. She's keeping a careful eye on the griffon statue.

With all your expertise and knowledge about doors and breaking in, this place seems to defy the stereo-typical building. You cannot think of a way to raise the portcullis.

Hidden doors lead to secrets and treasure. He says while walking towards the newly opened passage.

As the handful of you enter into the Tea room you guys pass by the table Shaggy & Scooby are at. While you walk over to the now exposed doorway you hear a creeeeak and a Snap! as the chandelier comes crashing down near the stairs. As you glance back you see the sturdy chain swinging freely.

You peer into the newly opened room and see that it is a small room. This room is bare and only boasts hard stone blocks on all
of the walls. There seems to be no other exit or doorway.

"Zoinks!" Shaggy startles when the secret door opens, but is disappointed when the room beyond turns up nothing. Meanwhile, Scooby goes snuffing around near the stairs South of the tea room.

"An empty room with no doors or windows? either more secrets are inside or its an obvious trap."
Apr 15, 2019 4:25 pm
Aside from the obvious dust and dirt of this building, Scooby believes he smells cooked food in the room to the south.

Scoob follows his nose. Shaggy turns to chase after the hound. "Like, where are you off to, Scoob?!"

"What kind of mad architect would construct a hidden room purely as a trap? That seems so unnecessary. Let's assume it has some other purpose."

Melissa carefully enters the secret room and starts carefully checking it over, tapping the stones and feeling along their edges.
