"How nice to be asked!"

Melissa carefully picks her way across the room towards the double doors. She gives them a once-over for any hidden dangers, but she's still distracted and her hands are shaking.

While you prod across the room you get the feeling your being watch by cold eyes. As you approach the door you swear you see eyes looking at you from the door. You shake your head clear a moment and its gone. You look at the door and realize that they don't seem locked.

As you open the large double doors, a large room opens before you. A large chandelier hangs from the high ceiling, and an old dance floor stretches before you. A large glass folding door opens onto an alfresco area on the east wall.

With a large room for the others to explore, Melissa turns her attention to the smaller door to her left.

Are you certain it is wise to separate?

"Just opening the door to see what's on the other side. If anything spooky happens, I'll yell."

You move over to the smaller door. As you approach the door, chills run up your spine. A quick assessment shows that this door too unlocked. You ease the door handle as the loud rickting of the sounds you reveal a small cooks area covered in cobwebs and small insects. Clearly nothing been in here for a while.

Melissa gets the feeling as if many insects were crawling on her.

"Blurgh! Ugh." Melissa closes the door hurriedly, slapping at her arms and scratching her head. She glares at the others. "Nothing to see here, keep searching. Somebody else is opening the next door."

As you cautiously begin your entrance into the ballroom. You see something rather someone materializing from thin air you see the man who had rushed at you, ending the ghostly dinner party in the dining room. He seems younger somehow, as if this is a vision into an earlier time in his life.
A beautiful woman enters from nothingness, dressed in a flowing black gown, her eyes dark and dangerous. He holds her and looks into those eyes, and she looks back into his.

"We will disappear, just the two of us, my love" the man says dreamily.
"Oh, General Montharthas, but what of your wife? And we have work to do." She reminds him.
"Never mind her, she will cope. And your army of undead... Let us not talk of this tonight" he replies as their apparitions fade and the room is once again empty.

You feel the coldness that was once in the room now intensify. As if the loss of a loved one or the something missing from a whole.

"Awww..." Scooby and Shaggy both get dreamy-eyed watching the romantic encounter, but startle at the mention of an undead army! "Zoinks! Did he just say 'army of undead?!?!'"

Calm yourself Shaggy, I can banish some of them....

Other then that you see the empty fire place and just a barren room. Buffet table on the wall, pots with nothing but rot in them. Beyond the glass you see the patio of what was a nice pool set, chairs, tables and the likes.

We should probably touch as little as possible

"Such an exquisite ballroom, under different circumstances i would be asking one of you beautiful ladies to dance but alas duty calls."

Esvele laughs and follows her mace in her hand but at her side.

OOC:

"Anywhere but here, with these g-g-ghosts! Let's go!"

"It was hard enough getting into the house the first time, I don't want to risk going outside again unless we have to."

Melissa starts investigating the fireplace. Mad people love to put hidden mechanisms and secret doors in fireplaces.

Melissa ganders at the fire place. You find nothing out of the ordinary. You do determine it is of EXTRAordinary craftsmanship even with the state of this old mansion in the state it is, this fireplace is made to last.

I don't like this. I don't like ANY of this.
