Aki hesitates. She is not sure if she should hand the scroll to Yoshi or whether this is something she should deal with herself. However, out of her group of companions, Yoshi is the one she trusts the most to deal respectfully with and have some useful thoughts on the scroll, so she hands the case to him, allowing him to read the note.
[ +- ] Reminder: Content of the Note
"You have often told me you are a better father to my children than I am. I can only hope the Fortunes bless you—or curse you—with children of your own one day, that you could see the true challenges of fatherhood." It appears to be addressed to the writer’s brother-in-law, Kakita Toshimoko.
Aki turns back to Satsume and says:
"Oh, it was just a short interaction. I would hardly expect the Emerald Champion to remember this little talk with someone who is not even a true samurai yet. However, I could never forget the great honor of speaking with you." She wants to ask about the note but she does not want to upset him by speaking out of line so she decides to wait with that. While still mainly focusing on the master, she glances at Yoshi from time to time, wanting to find out his thoughts on the note.
