@CavernTavern Even if it smells bad, Glenk has to apply the herb poultice each night before sleep.

Glenk just earned the smelly feat :)

I'm assuming none of the knights/guard have any specific connection to the eladrin, but we probably met in town before. I think it may be possible to have some sort of connection to one of the 3 from having done something with him before, like delivered a message or guide him somewhere. Dramasailor (or ae_dd) would be in a better position to set something up here. Maybe I'm contacting him again for some reason at the beginning of the story? Any news from the wood elf?

by the way guys, my "playing schedule" is usually during work hours (Mon-Fri 9-17 UTC, but I sometimes I get a change to post from my mobile out-of-hours)

I’ms’ware I need to put in on every night Mandrake. I hoped magics could’ve healed it that’s all. Not just some sticks, twigs and oil. I still thank ye for ya time. I hope all things are good there in the Mosstops, let me know if anything needs our assistance.

I'm usually online between 0800 and 1730 ET (UTC-5), though I'm available pretty much any time between about 0700 and 2300 ET.

As for the startup of the game, don't worry too much about WHY you are all together at the outset, I've got that part squared up. Now, how you all react to the initial gathering will certainly change some things. The short of it is that you are all persons of some renown in Bromwich and the immediate vicinity. As such, the mayor of the town has summoned you all to her manor to discuss some matters of importance to Bromwich and to seek your combined counsel. You all are at least passingly familiar with one another, some of you definitely with tighter connections. From there, we'll go more free-form. :)

Dramasailor- would you allow the Samurai archetype? I see my character acting like the noble knight/warrior.

Everyone- is anyone interested in a tie-in with my fighter/knight? I'm a childhood friend with our half-orc paladin?

@Squadfather44 I am using conquest paladin which is also Xanathar's guide to everything so it should be alright

I'm definitely OK with the Samurai archetype.
Apr 5, 2019 3:29 pm
@squadfather. aren't you and triquetra0 (maybe caveman) tied already?
I could eventually tie in, depending on where samurai knigths come from...
Apr 5, 2019 4:46 pm
I'm tied in with triquetra0 by being childhood friends. That's the only tie-in I have right now. I went with the Samurai archetype to reflect his fighting spirit and resolve on the battlefield. That plus my character is a member of the Order of the Ravensbane, so I figured if you roll all of that together, the Samurai would fit.

I'm definitely open to a tie-in if you want.

There was some discussion about the three knights (or knight of the order) knowing one another. Bromwich is a reasonably sized town (a population between 2000 and 3000 people, with a guard count of about 7 or 8, including the sheriff). Any larger scale defense is typically handled via citizen militia. Having a half-dozen or so knights in the town as residents would be normal.

That'll work for me. It would make sense, with my character being childhood friends with one to have a tie-in with the other.

Sorry for the delay with my character. I'll have it completed and submitted by Saturday evening.

@Dramasailor- for role playing purposes is there any emblem or design for the Order of the Ravenshead?

Indeed there is. Their crest is an eagle with spread wings, clutching a sword and spear in its talons, set on a platinum shield with gold reinforcements.

Their banner is a white field with golden trim and the eagle with wings spread.

Good to know, that design will be on my character's shield and on the tabard he wears over his armor.

Would I have a mask as my symbol/emblem? or what would it look like for my deity :P

Would there be a local chapter house for the knightly orders or special quarters set aside for them?
