I look at Atticus pondering a question Atticus why did your dad say bad things can't get you in the bright light?

Nàdair gets a wooden stake from her bottomless bag and raises it in the air and then... wait... wrong creature :( She smiles innocently at Hunter and throws in a biscuit, one of those good for his teeth, you know?
Nàdair looks at Mandrake, as he speaks elven and them at Hunter, just checking he is not understanding it... (Assuming he isn't, which sounds like a good assumption) she then looks back to the druid with that face that just says switching to a different language after a medical examination is NOT suspicious at all! She starts playing with the strings on her lute, musical notes flowing intermittently here and there, before picking up the correct melody. "Yes Mandrake, that is a good song for resting the soul and healing the body", switching to elven and somewhat singing "I was afraid the horse-dog was more than it looked and the look of that wound... So you're sure the little fellow has the curse?" As she sings, Hunter feels a chill down his spine, followed by some itching and warm sensation were the wound was. "How's the moon these days?" she adds before turning to the halfling, again in common "Are you feeling better now?" she grabs his other arm strongly (as to actually hurt a bit) "That silver coin was really good for channeling the healing energies, wasn't it?" She carefully and expectantly looks at the halfling, singing a little more in elven while smiling "He'll be a good puppy, I'm sure of it" before giving Hunter a small purple healing charm. "Grab this until it fades. It should take some of the residual miasma with it." She then adds, with a fiercely commanding voice "Now sit boy."

Atticus looks up at Leviticus. I don't really know sir. It's jus' a thing he always said. Wash behind your ears. and Bad stuff can't get you in the bright. and Don't pinch a lady if she doesn't ask you for a pinchin.

Glenk, you get the feeling that Atticus is likely still a bit scared and a bit unsure of why all these adults are here asking him all the questions. It must be putting him off his appetite.

No, none of that sounds really good. Maybe I'm just not hungry. he says, eyes flicking down to the floor.

Hunter looks at the coin on the ground, panting heavily, holding the berries in his hand. His eyes move to the mark and then Mandrake and Nàdair and back to the mark. Hey, what does this mean? Why did it burn? What's happening? Hey!
He takes a step towards Mandrake and Nàdair, to get their attention and feels the berries in his hand, shoving them all in his mouth at once just as Nàdair starts singing. As he chews he feels the "healing song", which makes him confused and unaware of a different sensation in his body...
He keeps looking at his arm as the song ends and the berries are all gone, only getting his attention ripped away from it as Nàdair grabs his other arm. Au! Hey you're - But before he can say anything else his face turns pale and right as Nàdair gives him the charm he burps loudly, clutching his free hand in front of his mouth, eyes frantically searching for a bucket of some kind. Unfortunately for Hunter there's no time left and he bends over, throwing up right in front of him. Completely flabbergasted by the situation he tries to obey Nàdair and sit down, but he immediately bounces back as his body starts to swell up! It lasts about two seconds and as the swelling goes down Hunter sinks to the floor, still green around his nose, sitting like a limp doll, staring up at you.
Just then Fegstaf storms out of the store. WHAT IN THE NAME OF ALL THAT'S HOLY ARE YOU TWO DOING TO MY BOY?!
OOC:
Nàdair, please make a DC10 acrobatics check to see if you can evade the vomit.

Perhaps people in your surroundings know how to fix this puppy...

Nàdair, understanding what is happening, manages to predict the incoming danger and graciously dances her way out. However, she stumbles briefly and stops facing Fegstaf. "Hello my dear! So the deal with Børk is in order already?" She quickly dismisses the healing charm and smiles at the newcomer. "It would appear that little Hunter here caught some bad air". She points at Mandrake and heroically exclaims "Worry not! He is in good hands now". Nàdair steps closer to the halfling expecting him to feel better now, and gives him a hand to help him stand. That was a lot of miasmas to let go .... The vomit then then suddenly disappears with a fresh, floral breeze

The Miss calls you Ossrain is that a family name? Atticus proper?

If nothing new there, Glenk feels satisfied with the questioning. He wants to talk to the innkeeper Miss Frallich to see if the boy has told her more or anything different.

These legends of the swamp seem to be more true then you'd want to believe missing peoples and the like. Should we gather Mandrake and Nadair see what they know of the wolves. And what we believe requires more urgency? Or talk to some of the victims of the robbeies?

I look at Glenk and say I think we should investigate the robberies and talk to some of these people in town here. Since we're already here.

Yessir, Ossrain is my family name. I know some of the other men use their family names, so that's what I told her. But my first name is Atticus, yes.

With no other questions, Atticus heads back out and tucks in by the fireplace, falling asleep once more. In talking with Miss Frallich, the story matches what he had told you. It seems he gave you somewhat more detail than she got, but the points he did tell her line up with what he told you. She mentions as well that he didn't really eat much when he got in, and has been spending a lot of time curled up sleeping in front of the fireplace.

Make sure he gets some food at some time. The poor boy shouldn't starve himself.

Miss Frallich nods her head at the instruction for food as you all leave the inn. As you leave, the town is definitely in the full swing of the morning. People are now filling the streets, vendors are hawking their wares, and things seem to be bustling along happily. The impending spring festival seems to have lifted everyone's spirits.
OOC:
Where would you like to go? To walk towards where the hunting group is will take probably about 15 minutes. Otherwise, if you intend on doing more questioning of the robbery victims and such, let me know who you'd like to speak with. What has already been determined through questioning is here.

"Well, I say we talk to more people. While the boy did shed some light on the situation, there's still some questions we need answered."

Elijah stands with the others as they ponder their next move. Speaking to no one in particular, Eli voices his ideas. "The way I see it we have a couple options. We can see if we can find someone who knows about the other attacks, maybe a representative of the merchants that were involved. The other option is to check with the local church and ask them about any reports of the undead and such."
May 3, 2019 11:21 pm
I nod my head at Elijah and say I agree I think we do need to talk to more people.

May 6, 2019 1:55 pm
OOC:
Who are you all going to talk to? Just a general idea as to what direction you'd like to go is enough:
1. The robbery victims
2. The family of the murder victims
3. Head out to the temple outside the town
4. Someone else entirely
5. Find the Hunters group
May 6, 2019 9:53 pm
OOC:
maybe we can talk to the robbery victims if everybody else wants to?
May 7, 2019 2:58 pm
Eli stands there thinking about the groups options. Voicing his opinion, he tells the others his idea. "I say we go speak with the robbery victims, then we can see about talking to the mixer victims families, and finally we can seek guidance with the church. See what they think about a possible undead threat."

Glenk bows his head and speaks quickly. I feel I may not be able to properly run down any of these other threats right now. I will head back to the barracks, see what I can arrange from there. he says, brow wrinkling, as he hands over a sheet of parchment with the names of the local victims documented on it to Elijah.

Be sure to meet up with the other two, figure out what they have found out. Make sure a proper plan is put together. Glenk finishes before turning on his heel and heading off leaving Leviticus and Elijah alone. Matthew had taken his leave somewhere along the way, you aren't really sure where.

Elijah, looking over the list provided by Glenk, you note that the nearest robbery victim, is Durgan Smeltsoul a local blacksmith. It's about a ten minute walk from where you currently are. Heading that way, when you arrive, you see that the forge is already active and the sound of his hammer and anvil are loud and proud.
