I am resurrecting this D&D5 game, playing through the classic adventure module N1: Against the Cult of the Reptile God, after a long hiatus. I am looking for one or more players to join the group, as life circumstances have changed for some of the original players and they won't be resuming with us.

Before applying to the game, please read the game description to get a feel for the game and the first page of this thread to understand which 5e rules we will use, which we won't, and how to generate characters. My hope is to fill the roster and finish creating characters so that we can start within a week, but I understand that some people in the USA may be less available due to the Thanksgiving holiday.

We've just reached a milestone in this game, completing a significant mission. With that, some of the players have decided to retire from gamersplane, so there are some openings again in this special D&D 5e game that uses a number of official optional rules to make it play more like AD&D as we proceed through the classic module N1: Against the Cult of the Reptile God.

I’d be very interested in joining this game. Do you expect us to submit new characters or would you want us to take up the characters whose players have left? And are there any specific roles or character types that are needed?

New characters, with stats that you roll in the Character Creation thread. The previous characters persist as NPCs. As for roles, that's up to you. We've currently got a monk, a warlock, and a druid.

Which would you prefer? Looks like you could use a rogue, but also a tank.

Either is fine by me. If you return as Joseph, know that he has enough XP and money to train to level 2. As far as the multiclassing rules go, Joseph could train as a Fighter, Bard, Cleric, Druid, Monk, Ranger, Rogue, Sorcerer, Warlock, or Wizard, so you have some flexibility there if you'd like to broaden your horizons.

I would like to join in when you get another opening.
