The Wards of Jump City:
The Fog The Fog is a lower end community of Jump City, they have become primarily independent in their own right, they have their own Ward police department, hospital, and many of their own shops stores and homes. Being from the Fog though is often looked down upon by other more upstanding citizens of Jump City. There is a proud culture of The Fog itself, but it is plagued currently by two rival gangs, the Purple Dragons and the Grey Hounds.

Docks The Docks borough is primarily shipping and storage, you could find mostly warehouses and a few boats here. Any boats that do dock at Jump City are often also found here. Docks doesn't have many if any residents, and because of that is known to have less than legal transactions happen once the sun goes down in its borders.

Surfside The Surfside Ward is known for the seafood shops, the lively street art that is given permission to be put up in most public buildings dubbed "Expression Buildings" with the allowance of the art with the conditions of No profanity and No obscene Imagery. The community is also known for their beaches and their public skatepark. There have been talks about opening an early prep school for artists in the Ward. It is known to also have attracted some Atlantean Citizens.

Nightvale Is the night life of Jump City, mostly clubs, bars, and restaurants, a few living quarters are here, and for the most part only younger members of the community decide to live here as most are put off by the late hours of night life as those around go about. There is often a few police making rounds here as party drugs are known to pop up in certain clubs.

Hillside A mostly residential Ward. Hillside still has good community of Whole Foods, alternative healing shops, and some at home artists who sell their work (even a glass blower or two). The community though has gotten a somewhat reputation of being a little "Hippy Dippy" and because of this is not always the place for most to call home. Though is known for being the perfect place some alternative couples.

Cheshire Cheshire is a Ward that holds both a community of the average folk, but for some reason has also attracted an international community. It is not uncommon to find a block of entirely people from a foreign country living within close proximity of one another.

Blue Blue Ward is the major job supplier of Jump City, as many work in the factories that create both technological goods, and other luxury items designed by Taft Industries. Some people live here, but by far and large the Ward is mostly used for work, though the factories work in shifts 24/7.

Downtown The main shopping district of the city, Downtown is known for its HUGE mall, a retro arcade, and the best pizza in town. It is also known for the more high end shopping district, and the occasional fashion event.

Arts The Arts Ward is home to some of the greatest artists in the world, who are allowed to live here through a special program granting a better living space meant to create a perfect studio art environment. Singers, Painters, Sculptors all call here home, and is home to a handful of music venues.

JCU The Jump City University is growing in size, and is home to some of the most advanced programs in the country. It's up and coming Basketball team has joined the NCAA and is on a pretty decent wining streak as the Jump City Jaguars.

Historic The Historic Ward is the home to many Museums and has memorial to the first "Super" to die in action, Ace. Some people live here still, but for the most part is home to history and education.

Courtside The Roughest Ward in Jump City, Courtside is known as it is also home to the Prison located in Jump City, with some cells being specifically designed for supers. Only the poor live here, and often the poor die young. There has been a few pop up shops in the Ward selling some hard street drugs, and is home to several small gangs, but with no real significant numbers.

Outskirts The Outskirts are known for being mostly run down, with a lot of second hand shops, and car shops. There is a slight water problem currently in Outskirts ward where it is not the safest to drink, and although bathing is possible bottled water is the main hydration method of the Ward.

Uptown Uptown is home to one of the best hospitals in the world. It is also known to be home to some labs experimenting with some new medicines, technology, and some rumored to be weapons.

Banking The banking ward is home to many business that involve in trading money, and is the headquarters for most billion dollar businesses in the west coast. Taft Industries is also known to make its home here.

High Class The Homes (Mostly Mansions) of the richest of the rich in Jump City are found here. Some even having homes of multiple floors in sky scrappers found here. It is also the most heavily patrolled area of the city by the Police.

Residential The Residential Ward is called that due to majority of the middle class living here, in actuality it is two wards, informally called Residential West or Residential East, though no real difference is known besides the size.

The Boroughs The Boroughs are actually not apart of Jump City, a smaller town that with expansion has met Jump City, they have there own separate mayor, and police force, hospital, and fire department. They very much have their own culture and pride, but as Jump City grows so do talks of Absorption of Boroughs.

Summerville The rural area of Jump City, home to farms, and the more country aligned life style of the city. A common joke when someone acts a little bit like they're from a small town or the mid west is "Your Summerville is showing."

What is the population of Jump City?

Is the Police Force equipped to deal with Supers? A special task force?

Do they allow for the deputization of Supers? or are all Superheroes vigilantes?

Is North at the top of this map?

How did Ace die?

Population: 2.15 Million (No Census yet on how many are supers, magicians, Atlantean, Amazons, etc.)

Police Force: Currently police stick to guns (mostly pistols) though have some harder hitting weapons for supers, though for the most part other supers handle them.

Super Outlook: Supers are technically vigilante's with the exception of the Defenders (Who in all likelihood will not appear in this series). Though the way people treat them varies Ward by Ward, I will allow you to automatically know how supers are viewed in your home ward but role-play should reveal the rest of the city for you.

Geography North is actually closer to Hillside and Cheshire, I apologize as I was not able to add the compass. West is the coast.

ACE's Death The actual death of Ace is unknown besides he was a single super who attempted to take on a group of Super Villains, this is the public announcement as well. I will allow though further in character checks and investigation to reveal more if your character is so inclined though.

Although Jeffrey Larimer is relatively wealthy he is not the type to live in a Mansion or anywhere in the High Class Ward. What sort of range of housing is available in the Residential Ward? It's styled as Middle Class, but depending on who you're talking to, that has a very wide range of incomes and housing. He would most likely have a 3000+ square foot home in one of the quieter neighborhoods.

If you're okay with the reputation of being hippy dippy such a home would easily exist in Hillside. Its not exactly a poor neighborhood or rich one.

Got a spot for an active duty military corpsman?

Is it outrageous for my character to live in a broken down volkswagen van under one of the docks in/near Surfside? Do I have to put pointrs into an HQ for that? He's destitute and lives off the kindness of nearby street vendors, and wins the odd surfing or sandcastle competition.

Larimer is far from a hippie dippie type. I most likely would not live around such people. Since I have great difficulty making out the words on the map I have to ask if there is a border between the Residential Ward and the High Class Ward? If so he would live right on that border but not extravagantly.

Kate's family probably lives in the Residential or High Class district. She likely works in the Banking district and lives where ever she would get a cheap, no frills apartment, but probably not Residential. Hillside or Cheshire, probably.

Samesies. Hillside, probably boarding with a roomie in a 2 bedroom apartment or something.

There are no hard borders between wards instead its more of a cultural difference between parts of the city. If you are living in the high class part of town, your character sheet should show you have the Advantage: benefits (millionaire). If you could also list in your character sheet your home ward for easy reference for myself that would be very helpful for me, thank you.
