Ilmadia sweeps past the departing barbarians and enters the cave. Her eyes quickly search all corners of the cave, but she finds only Saki and Hjollsted. She is still for a moment, then finds a place against one wall to sit. She sniffs derisively at the cooking pot on her way by, then settles silently, the look in her eyes saying she is somewhere else.

Alalla scratches her hidden horn nubs. "Well, it sounds like we have some big things coming up. We had better rest if we are to have a chance at doing anything well." She nods at the exhausted Zenithral. "Get some sleep, Zenithral. Saki and I can take care of Halla and keep watch for now. You too, Reòthadh. Dueling the chief of chiefs! It will be something."

She whistles for an orc runner, then gives them instructions for the army to make camp and rest until around midnight.

Reunited at the cave, with an army of orcs camped all about, the companions take some time to rest and plan. For there is much to think about...

Will Reòthadh walk in alone to challenge Jerrod? What if he fails?

How long dare the companions wait before trying to enter the tower? How long until Belhifet finds some way to open the portal to the Abyss?

How far away are Keggruk’s forces? Have Erevain and Arannis reaches them?

Did Halla’s animal messenger arrive in Kuldahar? How soon will their allies arrive?

It is close to midnight when the heroes finish their rest. With hopes to both cripple Belhifet’s forces and save the lives of the Icewind Dale tribes, Reòthadh and those who accompany move out to he appointed spot on the banks of Lac Dinneshere’s black waters...
