We'll continue Zephyr's conversation with Vega from the Bar thread in here.

Vega watches Zephyr. "What's this supposed to be? Have you forgotten that I'm the sick one?"
She lies down on the couch, putting her feet onto the armrest on one side, then takes the glass from the table and drinks some of it. "And you owe me, Zeph. I know, you've helped me a couple of times already but I promise this is the last time. And if it wasn't for you, I wouldn't even be in this mess."

I'm hydrating. Before you came along I was busy imbibing in some wonderful Irish handcuffs. I haven't let myself go for quite some time. Now that you're here, there's no time for joviality. I'm sure at any moment we'll get some unwanted visitor crashing through my door, and I'll have to intervene.

Zephyr looks annoyed, but also tired. Not just physically tired, but weary. Weary of the discussion that has only just begun.

And how was I responsible for your mess this time? Did I gamble away the money I gave you on Cortegus Prime? Or perhaps when I called in that favor to have the weapons infringement expunged. That was definitely my mistake.

"You know what I mean." She puts a hand on her chest. "I could be in spacefleet instead of you."

She smiles at you with her well practiced innocent expression that the security guards got to see earlier. You've seen it before so many times that it doesn't have any effect on you anymore.
"Please, Zeph, just help me this one last time!"

Zephyr contemplates things in silence for long enough that it starts to feel uncomfortable. He looks at Vega a few times, and looks away like he's still thinking. Then his expression softens a bit, and finally he speaks up.

I have one condition. You stay here with us during my leave. If you can go that entire time without causing any trouble, I'll bail you out again. If you cause any trouble, any at all, I will not give you a single credit.

Zephyr searches her eyes deeply for the sister he grew up with.

I love you Vega. I want to help, but you always take and never give. I'm only asking for your time.

"Naww, Zeph, you're a big softie. I'll be happy to stay with you here for a while. This time it's not about money though. I just need one teeny tiny favor. But I need it fast."
She smiles excitedly, her expression looks almost childlike. This time it's hard even for Zephyr to judge if she's faking it or just genuinely smiling, although experience shows it's probably the former. "I want to get to know your friends better. They seemed interesting. And I promise I won't cause any trouble. You know me."

Tell me more about this favor, I need to know what I've gotten myself into. How are we supposed to be paying back this 'boss' without money?

Zephyr starts disconnecting his IV after draining it. The fluids have started to make him come around, but he really needs rest and he knows it. Unfortunately that will have to wait.

Then we'll go about patching things up with the crew in the morning. I'm sure they're less than willing to trust you right now.

"No, I'm sure they like me. I was a very generous host." Vega reaches for the glass on the table and drinks it all. "I just need to use your terminal to look up some info. And I guess I could use your security access code"
Before you can respond, she reaches into the pocket of her jacket, which is lying on the floor next to the couch and pulls out an envelope that is addressed to "Zephyr Borealis". It has been opened. "You've been invited to a party. And you're allowed to take guests. I'll come with you and everyone will see what a good girl I am."

It's plain by watching Zephyr's face and body language that he's unsure about his own decision to trust Vega. Regardless he continues on.

Dio mio woman do you have no shame? he says while taking the envelope from her. Glancing it over, he says, Well then, we had better get some rest. I have a feeling I am going to be in bad shape in the morning despite my re-hydration attempts. I'll leave you to fend for yourself since you've already made yourself at home. Good night.

Zephyr steps out of the room and heads to his bed. He drops down face first onto his pillow, not even bothering to disrobe.

Vega is trying to protest since she is not finished with the conversation yet. However, this is not the first time you're doing this move and she knows that once you start like this, there's nothing she can say to get you back into the conversation.
"Buona notte", she says before you close your bedroom door. You can hear her moving around for a while longer in the living room until you fall asleep.
