The behir moves forward with a smooth series of sinuous, muscular ripples, legs a blur as it traverses the icy terrain with no difficulty. Still, for all the creature’s speed, the companions can hear the frost salamander gaining. What’s more, the frost giants seem to have noticed the chase. Boulders come crashing down, and the party knows from experience that the lobbed stones will deal serious damage even to a creature of the behir’s size. Not to mention those atop it.
Nym leans low over the behir’s neck and murmurs something in a reptilian language. The creature snarls a response in the same tongue, and Nym chuckles appreciatively. He looks back at the others. "Nearly there! But if you could do something about what’s behind us…" The frost salamander puts on a burst of speed and nearly rakes the behir’s tail with icy claws.
Also, everybody make your choice of a str, dex, or con save, details purposefully vague. It has to do with keeping your seat :P

Zenithral tries to pick out a giant that looks particularly skillful with his boulder-tossing. "Leave us alone, please and thank you!" He fires yet another purple-lit arrow, this time at the giant. (Giant takes 10 damage, but is not banished.)
"You too!" He tries to shoot at one of the salamander's eyes, but it scrapes along the creature's scales. He fires his next shot into the salamander's open maw, hoping to discourage it from biting anything. (17 damage)

Ilmadia winks at Zenithral then watches his arrows fly. She hesitates, then whispers over her pointer finger. Her eyes brighten when a mote of fire begins to swirl above it. A flick of her wrist sends it flying into the giant's face in the wake of Zenithral's arrow.

Stomachs lurch as the behir whips over the top of a larger building - the Snowdrift Inn. Wooden planks creak in protest, but the thunder lizard’s footing is evenly and cleverly distributed over the many pairs of legs, so the structure holds. Until an incredible toss of a boulder slams into the behir’s head. It staggers, and the frost salamander pounces. Alalla’s glaive is ready, however, and the blows she strikes wound the elemental creature deeply and it stumbles. But between the weight of the two giant creatures and the rain of boulders, the inn collapses inward (Al takes 32 damage, Zen takes 68).
Sturdy wood becomes splinters in an instant. The behir’s legs become a torrent of limbs as it rights itself, but their is no easy way clear of the inn. It opens its maw and lets loose a crackling wave of lightning breath...
One entire wall of the inn explodes outward and the behir wriggles out. A moment later the salamander crawls free of the wreckage as well, but when it meets Alalla’s fearsome gaze and warning glaive it stops dead in its tracks.
Nym urges the behir to continue, but then another boulder drops down to crack against the base of the creature’s neck (Aaaand the 213 damage to the behir). The head immediately flops to the ground, and a shudder passes through each pair of legs as the thunder lizard collapses, its breathing ragged.
The tower is only a short distance away now, but on foot...
It is then that Alalla realizes Zenithral is missing.

Nym claps his hands. "It will be enough! And hopefully so will this." A quick gesture, and a familiar bow drops into his hand. He tosses it to down Ilmadia. "For the boy, if he lives."
It seems that Nym has planned out nearly everything.
Zenithral's vision finally comes back to him, but his whole body still hurt like Avernus. He was stuck and splintered. He was also pretty sure he had a few broken ribs. He breaths in and out to calm himself and push through the pain. (Second Wind. Zenithral regains 22 hit points.)
Alright...help me through this. (Guidance) Zenithral then tries to wriggle his way free.
