Submitted my character kinda took a bond with Wu Meng, my shifu is Shifu Qian, of the school of air though. It's on my character sheet in more detail.
I was considering having the new character(s) be from the Explorer's Guild. Possibly even retcon Sungyeol &/or Dae-Won out of the story to be replaced by the new guys. But I do like the proposed backstory here. Kalam Makhir neither looks nor sounds like he's from Qing'lai. How did he come to be under the tutelage of one of the 8 Masters?
Shifu Qian is Master of Sky, not Air. Shifu Rao is Master of Wind. The Masters named so far are:
• Shifu Gen, Master of the Mountain
• Shifu Qian, Master of Sky
• Shifu Zhen, Master of Thunder
• Shifu Rao, Master of Wind
I'll go ahead and name the remaining 4 now:
• Shifu Lu, Master of Fire
• Shifu Ye, Master of Water
• Shifu Kun, Master of Earth
• Shifu Dui, Master of the Lake
I've updated the
World Almanac.

Hi, I'll be still using the ranger from Yatpun(decide on name later) . Let me know if you accept mine or the other player. Also, what unique things might someone from Yatpun have, in terms of culture, clothing etc.
If Qing'lai is this fictional world's China analog, Yatpun is the Japan analog. For the people of Qing'lai, including even the most learned scholars, Yatpun is a mystery because no one who has attemptedt to journey there has ever returned. Therefore, information is unreliable.

Beyond the Sea of Storms lies the mysterious land Yatpun, said to be inhabited by people who couple with fox-headed spirits, siring the world's most fearsome warriors...
Quote:
...it's rumored (if you'll believe those who claim to have been to that mysterious and barbaric land) that warlords rule the land under a warrior noble overlord called a Shōgun...
Quote:
To the east, beyond the mountains, lies the Sea of Storms, criss-crossed by seasonal kaiju migrations that bring both destruction and prosperity. Some of these behemoths are so large, entire communities have been established on their carapace: a shining monastery, a roving market, an ancient necropolis roamed by maddened minotaurs, the mighty fortress headquarters of a fabled mercenary company.
It's entirely up to you whether your ranger is truly from Yatpun, or if it's all a lie.
