Absences

A quick update on my condition, seeing it's been a couple of months.

I'm still living at the same place as before, so far, I've been told there's no place for me everywhere I've checked, though a new project is starting this fall and I'm looking to subscribe to the waiting list right away so I can hopefully get some social lodging as soon as it is finished constructing. So I might move at some point next year, fingers crossed.

As for my abusive roommate, we sort of have this uneasy truce where we avoid each other as much as possible, we don't talk, we even avert eye contact... Though I have caught him badmouthing me to other people a couple of times (**sigh** narcissists are gonna narcissism, I suppose...).

It's still a bit of a stressful situation, and though I am getting better, my concentration hasn't quite came back just yet. Sorry I still have to continue this break a bit longer, I am not quite all there to be able to game or run a game at the moment.

Thanks for the update but sorry about your situation, K. Do what you have to do to improve your situation and remember there's always folks around here to reach out to if you feel the need.

After losing hours of creative writing on characters multiple times, I just can't see using this site as I have noted. I'm exiting this site.

I have been forced by work to use my last week of vacation time this year :P (nice being in Norway with 25 days of mandatory vacation time).

And as I hate to just sit home and do nothing, I've decided to do a road trip next week. And as I don't know how much I'll drive or where I will be staying yet, I have no idea how much I will be able to post. Will try to keep up with all my games, but may post a bit sporadic and not my usual times.

Not so much an absence, but my jobsite today and tomorrow (and possibly Monday) is way out in the boonies, and I have zero cell service. Posting will be limited to mornings and evenings (PST/GMT -8).

Here in the United States, the Thanksgiving holiday is this Thursday, 28 November, and we're hosting family for dinner and supper. The day after that - Friday, 29 November - I'm hosting an all-day game event at my house. The day after that - Saturday, 30 November - we have scheduled a Pathfinder 2 game for the first time in weeks (and I'm running it).

All that's to say that I will try to maintain my normal posting schedule, but I may not be able to post in all my games on every one of those three days.

My apologies to anyone I may have missed notifying when I was absent for a few weeks. Family medical stuff and whatnot. More or less settled into a routine now, so I should be more regular around here.

Not quite a full absence, but with the holidays and stuff I've been pretty busy and those in my current games have probably noticed, so until probably mid-first week of January I'm just going to be slower overall. I'm still trying to post at least once or twice a week during weekdays at least. Just been a bit burned out with holidays and stuff and I keep feeling guilty for not being more active so I thought I'd just make this official for now. Thanks for understanding!

I wanted to apologize for my absence over the last week. I've been tending to a sick spouse. I hope to be able to post again soon, but it'll likely be intermittent until after Christmas.

GMs, please feel free to have my characters act as you need to keep things moving. For players in my games, please hold tight. I haven't abandoned you!

Had an unexpected visit over the last week from my oldest son, back from military deployment, and his daughter! Sorry I didn't have much time to post during their visit. Spend the time you have with the ones you miss dearly while you can.

They're leaving out tomorrow, so I'll be back to regular posting on the 26th.

Hi to everyone in my games. On Christmas I started dealing with a serious ear infection, and it's been taking a toll on my mental health, which is making it hard to want to post in my games. With my schedule free from the holidays and trips to the ER, I will try to get back to regular posting, but I may be slow for a while until my infection clears up. I'm going to be busy with New Year celebrations and away from my PC from 30th to about the 3rd, so I'll likely be mostly absent during these days. I might pop up from my phone here and there, but I cannot guarantee to post during this time; if it matters anywhere, feel free to automate my characters as makes sense! :)

Your games are the fastest among the games I'm in, so I'm pinging you to make sure you see this. I'll see if I can cook up some short posts from my phone, but if I stay quiet long enough, just have my characters be their optimistic selves and go along with the flow. I think that will work for all three of them. :P
