OOC:
You won't have visibility without a maneuver. I figure Csillag is about where the red carpet turns... golden? Do you want to maneuver closer to Heyop for better cover (and closer to the exit) rather than aim or just the short maneuver to get visibility? Or something else? I'll ignore the 1adv from the boost / aim -- so you'll wind up with 2 adv.

OOC:
She'll move to get visibility and fire. It'll be a miss and she'll pass the 2 ADV on as a boost to whoever acts next if that works.

OOC:
Okee doke. Only 1 ADV to pass a boost along. Wanna use your other to recover strain?

sounds good

Mal, from his prone position, is able to see a Twi'lek female grab onto the line between the ship and the museum and make to come over. She appears to stumble, however and quickly recovers, settling back onto the ship.
OOC:
Last mover for this round -- what's your plan Darth?
Jan 6, 2017 5:25 am
OOC:
could I get inside the ship with a force leap?
Jan 6, 2017 3:57 pm
OOC:
Yes. Using a Force power is an action and getting up from prone is a maneuver. So you could do that. Note that I disarmed you with your lightsaber, so with 2 strain you could use an extra maneuver to pick it up. Or you could choose to leave it behind.

To provide context (but not attempt to remove player agency) Dagger has the holocron and is headed for the exit (and is not visible to your adversaries).

OOC:
ah, didn't see that dagger was making a clean exit
Mal grabs his lightsaber and uses it to sever the cable from the ship to the building

Give up, the holocron is ours!
Jan 7, 2017 4:22 pm
The cable parts easily. Thankfully the tension was light enough that there isn't significant momentum or trouble with the cable as it suddenly goes slack on either side.
OOC:
One more actor on their side, then we're in to round 3.

Round 3!
In the main room, the door to the south end flashes around the edges and falls inward with a wisp of smoke and a crash. Behind it, a group of palace guards brandish blaster pistols and look ready to start laying to with them.
OOC:
They will go after players.

You guys hold the initiative -- get rolling in any order.

OOC:
If they haven't acted yet can Heyop hit them with Quick Strike 0=) or should I just tell everyone time to bail... again.
Jan 9, 2017 10:07 pm
OOC:
For the purposes of this combat, you can use Quick Strike on one of the guards. Range is short (1P). Doorway gives light cover (1 SB).
Jan 9, 2017 10:11 pm
Heyop refocuses seeing several guards moving in formation mentally towards them.

"Time to clear out." Heyop states after aiming and taking a shot and moving to cover until Csillag and Mal are closer.

Rolls

Heavy Ranged+Aim+Quick Strike R2

5 Success, 6 Advantage, 1 Threat

Total: 5 Success, 5 Advantage

Taking the advantage as strain recovery?

OOC:
can I give out setback die to guards 4 advantage worth? And recover 1 Strain to cap me off?

Interesting question, actually. And one I hadn't come to grips with personally (and there seems to be some disagreement). That said Sam Stewart from FFG games says "go with what makes sense narratively." So -- I think the answer is 'yes' you can do something like that -- what are you going to use narratively to support it? :)

Note these guys are 'Rival' level opponents, so treat them like other players who are going to take some serious hits to bring down. Also -- are you still firing stun blasts?

Hmm could I go with the first shot stopping the one in the lead mid stride and word with an odd sound effect coming out of them in surprise (Hope it had some effect or Imma beat feet on the upbeat), maybe bouncing them off the wall as they stumble. They can see me from my position and I wage a finger or something letting them know I got this shot down all day from cover with my carbine still locked on their direction. It's still stun blast though, 14 I believe. I think I'd need 5 advantage to give three guys 1 set back die each. Heyop is under the impression they should probably leave now that they have the Holocron via what Dagger said. But I need Csillag and Mal running and in cover taking shots before I can rebound out of here.

I think 3 adv could create a sufficient advantage to provide them all with a setback for next round. That would give you 1 adv for yourself to recover strain and 1 to give to the next player/ally action.

works for me... This is one of those did you see me do that moments.

That is a hell of a roll! So how far is Csillag from Heyop? What would it take to provide cover fire for him?
