Most of the nations in Khorvaire have suffered greatly during the Last War and recovery has been painstakingly slow. The influx of refugees and the crippling of the main industries have put tremendous strain on the fragile stability of what remains of major cities and other surviving settlements.
Things are further complicated by the growing and terrible presence of the Shroud, the mist that originated from the dead lands of Cyre. Increased forays of Droamm and the Demon Wastes raiders continue to cut down the boundaries between civilization and savagery.
The Age of Galifar, also known as the Golden Age has ended, and now a new dawn emerges. It is the time known as the Age of Legends.
