Rules

This will be an ongoing rules list. Since I am basically creating this from scratch, please work with me. I am also open to any insights and suggestions to make this more fun and streamlined.

There will be 12 areas that are named. As a Team you need to decide which of the 12 you want to land in.

Items will be randomly placed in locations.

Each person can search for items or building materials a maximum of twice per location (2x items or 2x materials or 1x for each).

When searching for items, a roll of 0-10 and you find nothing, 11-15 you find a simple item, 16-19+ you find a lesser magic item,
Nat 20 you find an ultimate item.

When searching for materials, you roll a straight 1d20. you can pick wood, stone, or metal. If you want wood, you get the amount that you rolled. Stone, half what you rolled at a minimum of 1, metal 1/3 of what you rolled at a minimum of 1. More on what you can build in another thread.

At each location, we will roll initiative. You can then take actions in initiative order. If a combat encounter occurs, a new initiative will be rolled. This will help me keep track of time and everyone will know who can do what.

If an item requires attunement, you are automatically attuned.

If an item is magic, you automatically know its ability.

More to come, let me know if you have questions or suggestions.

When searching for items and materials, will perception bonuses be used or will it be just the straight d20?

Perception for items, straight roll for materials.

Can we search bodies?

And does this count towards searches in areas?

It does not.

Also, as far as ammo goes, you can recover all ammo at the end of combat, unless you roll a 1 on the attack.

Two 1s with any weapon in the same round of combat results in a broken weapon, except your pick axe.

Ooooh. A challenge. Better hope we evade those 1's.

Another rule that applies Rests -

There are no long rests, however, you can short rest as many times as you want, with a short rest you get the following: Double you HD to roll for health to use (Once it is gone, it is gone like normal), regain half of your spell slots at each level (every time), but every time you rest, I will roll to see if anyone moves into your zone.

So, we double the roll from the HD or double the amount of HD we have?
Oct 4, 2019 3:32 pm
You have double the amount. Like you guys are all 3rd level, so you would have 6HD

Okay doke. Sounds good to me.

Also, the other groups are searching for stuff too, so it is possible to not find things even with good rolls if they’ve already been found.
