Pallet Town: Shades of Your Journey Await!

Keiran you notice a group of tourists complaining about how they wish this town really had more to offer if its supposed to be the big home of the greatest Pokemon champions.

Shuta the rattata rubs close to you and you can feel it almost purr like a cat. Then out of the corned of your eye you see an older man enter from the back of the lab.

Well hello there! Professor Oak smiles at Shuta.

Well. It's gonna take a duo like Tuffy and I to show that this town should be worthy of a champion town!

Keiran announces this with a triumphant smile even though he is unsure that anyone heard him. He then gives Tuffy a scrub on the head and bolts off to the lab.

Shuta's gaze goes from the pokemon to the older gentlemen and back. He puts a hand on the pokemon's head.

"Don't let people look down on you." he states before standing and turning to the older gentlemen.

"Hello Sir, you're kind of well known around these parts. Are there others or just me?" Shuta states looking into the man's eyes fully being oddly civil considering although giving a bit of intense eye contact.

Keiran you walk your way up to the Lab and upon opening the wooden doors you see a similar scene to what Shuta saw, though now the Rattata is chewing on a small log. You see at the end of the hall Professor Oak talking to Shuta.

There are a total of five of you coming today. He smiles at you, you're just the earliest, So you get to choose first.

"Charmander later he be become black..." Shuta states looking at the man as he states getting a pokemon.

And possibly burn down the world... he thinks to himself slightly smirking.

Keiran gives the Rattata a pat on the head and smiles before spotting the Professor. He strolls on over with Tuffy by his side.

Howdy! I received this here notice.

He holds old the message to meet.

"Hey, I already called Charmander so I have 'dibs'." Shuta explains.

Oh. Hello there.

Keiran looks at Shuta and pats Tuffy on the head.

I've no interest in a Charmander at this moment. I got my pal right here by my side.

He then turns his attention to Oak.

So, to what do I owe this invitation?

Well it just so happens I need some help with a new project of mine, professor Oak reaches into his pocket and pulls out a Pokedex. I don't know If you've noticed or not but we've had increase of migration of foreign species of Pokemon to our region, and I would like your help categorizing what new Pokemon have found their way into our region.

"Fair enough..." Shuta states extending a hand for the pokemon, "Did you want us to bring back any interesting ones?".

To be honest, I don't know what is all out there so I will be asking you, Keiran, and three other up and coming trainers to go on their Pokemon journey, and as a part of that you get the Pokedex, and I require you just document every Pokemon you can.

"OK, well I'm ready to go after I get my Charmander or do we need to way for the other three?" Shuta asks the professor.

"Kerian, Shuta." he states to nodding at the other trainer.

Keiran turns to Shuta and extends a hand.

Hiya! Name's Keiran. That's K-E-I-R-A-N.

He flashes a beaming smile.

You have no need to wait, I'd be happy to give you your Pokemon, and you're Pokeballs. With this Oak hands over to you 6 Pokeballs, and the Pokedex. Shuta you get an extra Pokeball where instead of the typical red top it has a little flame on it.

Shuta scratches his cheek, "Oh, my apologies... I guess I can't say your name has anything to do with anything involving corpses if things get hairy. I guess we'll be traveling together Keiran." he states looking down at the hand before grabbing it.

After receiving his equipment and pokemon Shuta looks at the ball with a flame and pops it open. Although the flame pattern is pretty sweet he needed to verify some things. He squats in front of the pokemon and gives it a once over glance.

"Oy, you want to stay in the ball or walk around. Also you're name is Kuro from now on." Shuta states wiggling the ball.

The charmander seems excited to meet you, and makes an almost purring sound looking at you.

Shuta shrugs putting the ball in his pocket, "I'll wait till it rains then."

Keiran smiles at the pokedex he'd been handed and tries it out on Tuffy. He pops the lid open and listens to its inquiry on the Venonat.
