How do you post in different colors?

I swear I saw a guide to it somewhere, but I can't for the life of me, find it. Can anyone point me to a guide on posting in colors other than that standard red blue and green? Any chance that might be added to the New GP Member Guide or FAQ as well?

I believe you can substitute a color in the BB tags. There may be a list somewhere of acceptable colors.

[ color = "purple" ] Purple [ /color ]

becomes

Purple

I tried Yellow and Gold, too.

There is such a list inside the Giude to BBcode.
Underneath dark mode automatic color adjustment. Because colors look different in dark mode.

If you input a color that isn't on the drop-down is there away for it to be placed on/remembered by the drop-down for future use? It'd be a pain to keep inputting a color that isn't on the main drop-down list.

Unfortunately no. In one game where I keep using the same colors regularly, I just saved the code for it on my sheet. You could even do it with snippets/abilities for easy pasting

After no colour? Try transparent.

BBCode:
After no colour? Try [color=transparent]transparent[/color].
