I'm from a rural United Kingdom shire, and started playing 5e obsessively with my daughter and her friend a couple of years ago.

When my daughter went to university I joined a local group (and they're great). But once a week isn't enough for me, and so, I find myself here - eager to explore the mysteries of the PbP format.

I'd like to find a 5e game to join as a player. I'm happy to DM, but I'd prefer to get some experience playing in a PbP first in order to better understand the format.

I look forward to playing with you in the future.

Welcome to the community, Adam! For many of us here, who have jobs, school, kids, etc., this is the only way to find the adventure we seek! We're glad to have you!

Don't forget to check out the New GP Member Guide.

New games are always popping up. If you watch the Games Tavern I'm sure you'll find one in no time!

If you're interested in spectating, here is an index of public games.

We'd love to have you join us on the Discord server as well for real time chat about the site, RPGs in general, and just about anything!

Happy gaming!

If you want to count the UK as Europe ;) But in this context, I will allow it.

Welcome, fellow European!

rubbing salt in the wound 🤣🤣

Welcome :) I've spotted a couple of brits in here, maybe they share the same wee shire with you?

Thank you all for such a warm welcome.
Let’s not mention the relationship with Europe eh? I hope it’s only a passing thing, this shadow; even darkness must pass.
I’m from leafy Shropshire. For those of you familiar with Pratchett/Gaiman’s Good Omens, that’s the county that Aziraphale had a hand in creating.
I get the impression that DMs are loathe to accept players who can’t be trusted to post, so I’ll probably spend a few weeks posting in various forums on here in order to prove that I can be trusted to stay engaged.
