Hi all, I just want to get some feedback. Do you think that the fight is taking too long, or is it reasonable for one that involves a sea-Dino that wants to wreck your ship?

Also, Jabes, how do you think that I best proceed with KirinOfDarkness not playing? Should I just control Grim temporarily and lead that to you joining the others?

I'm okay with whatever you decide. Bot Grim, or strike our scene from the record and start over, or whatever. I don't even mind a later entry into the story. Whatever will give you the least headache.

I think I'll go with reseting or giving a brief fleeting introduction when I have the idea. But before that, I'll see if I can meet up the new player's character with yours.

I'm thinking about doing a homebrew mechanic.
When a creature's HP is reduced to 1/4th or less of their starting HP, their survival instincts kick in. They will either attempt to flee, or fight harder. If they chose to continue to fight, they gain an extra attack, but suffers a -3 to their attacks. (That means if they have an attack that is multiple attacks, they just only gain one more.) They also lose their ability to perform reactions.

If the players wish to have a similar ability, they can have it with a slight difference. When they reduce their health to 1/3rd of their max, they can choose to get to do another attack action. However, the attacks are with disadvantage and they lose reaction until their next turn.

The mechanic for monsters sounds interesting, but I don't know if the player one is useful enough to be an option that people would take often. Disadvantage is a pretty hefty penalty.

Yeah, I'm trying to balance it. The chance of 2 attack actions, but they becomes hard to hit. The monster one is made to make things a bit more interesting.

Thanks for the invite. I was planning on maybe testing the Oathbreaker but you seem to have quite a number of vampires already! I'll take a look at some other concepts instead.
