Qralloq says:
Kashita will continue to attack Sugai. She switches from her aggressive fire stance to her more familiar and fluid water, and attacks with her yari.
OOC:
I don't know if Ali is giving a ring or skill die, so I rolled both and GM can arbitrate if necessary
Results: Op, Su, Su&St, Su, plus either a Su&St or a blank

So 3 successes (4 if Aki untrained in martial), plus 2 strife, (4 if Aki untrained in martial)
OOC:
Ok, so that's a pass on the TN2 test with 2 Bonus Successes for 7 damage (unless there's anything else that would affect that) and you take 4 x Strife. As you're in Water Stance you can take another action (as long as it's not the same as the one you've already completed and doesn't need a Test to complete) so is there something else you want to do?

OOC:
She will move around in the fight getting to the far side of Sugai.

OOC:
You can move a total or 2 Range Bands/Squares (1 for doing the Manoeuvre Action and 1 for the movement you get in your turn), not diagonally, so you can move adjacent to Sugai this turn but that would be it (map showing positions before Kashita moves attached below for reference) - also, bear in mind that your Yari is range 2 so if you are closer than that you cannot attack with it.

Can Yoshi make me a TN 1 Command check to issue a formal combat challenge please

OOC:
yes, the TN1 :)
Yoshi stares as Ronin3 "There is only one way to assert who is the boy here" the monk closes his eye for a brief moment, breathing deeply, before continuing. "The only course of action is to settle this insult, once and for all, between us. Such is how one walks the path of honour."
OOC:
I'm assuming I can comment with earth using logic and reason... and then keep that 5 to barely pass!
Can I take another action, like breathing to heal?

OOC:
You would use whatever Ring applicable to the stance you were in for the round (and your argument for the challenge would have to be appropriate for that ring) so yes Earth would be the best ring for that approach but you would need to shift your stance at the start of your turn so you would only be able to complete the one action (the second action is only possible if you are in Water stance)

oh well... he's a earth man... so I'll just command ronin3 into shame :D

Yoshi - the ronin grunts seemingly in amusement. "Alright boy.....show me" he says before readying himself. The other Ronin next to him moves round to support Sugai.
OOC:
He's accepted the Challenge. Clashes like this are dealt with at the end of the round so will resolve Sugai and the other Ronin before moving onto this.
Kashita and Aki - Kashita's spear lances out causing Sugai to jerk to one side, his expression looks to be a mix of frustration and anger as he steps forwards and delivers a vicious blow in return.
OOC:
Sugai rolls: Ring - (3) Opportunity, (6) Expl Succ + Strife, (6) Expl Succ + Strife // Skill - (10) Success + Opportunity, (12) Expl Succ
Keeping: (6) Expl Succ + Strife, (6) Expl Succ + Strife, (12) Expl Succ
Explosions: (2) Opp + Strife, (3) Opportunity, (4) Opportunity
Result: met TN + 4 bonus success (3 from Strife due to Fire Stance), using 3 x Opp to offset Strife

Sugai deals 8 damage to Kashita, will see how that leaves you before resolving Ronin 1's action

Updated Initiative Order
Ronin 3 - 11
Kashita - 7
Aki - 6
Yoshi - 6
Ronin 2 - 5
Sugai - 5

Ronin 1 - 4

OOC:
Does that make your fatigue exceed your Endurance or come equal to it?
Nov 26, 2019 2:08 pm
Endurance is 8, so reduced to 0. Or rather, Fatigue exactly equals Endurance

OOC:
Yeah you track it up so you're on 8 fatigue now which equals, but doesn't exceed, Kashita's Endurance.....
Kashita uses the last of her reserves of energy to dodge Sugai's blow but unfortunately is left open to the other Ronin's attack, Kashita stumbles to the side and narrowly avoids having her head taken off.
OOC:
Ronin 1 rolls: Ring - (2) Opportunity + Strife, (5) Success // Skill - (7) Succ + Strife
Keeping: (5) Success, (7) Succ + Strife
Result: met TN + 1 bonus success (1 from Strife due to Fire Stance)

That's another 5 damage to Kashita taking her to 13 Fatigue. As this exceeds her Endurance she now suffers from the Incapacitated condition (full details below but she's still on her feet but cannot take any actions that require a Test and cannot Defend against damage (meaning any more hits on her will be Criticals) whilst they are suffer from the Incapacitated condition.

Will post procedure for Yoshi and the Ronin's challenge shortly (just need to quickly read over the process)....

The Clash

Yoshi and the Ronin lock eyes with one another, silently weighing their opponent...
OOC:
Ok, a Clash is split into the following phases:

1. Staredown: The characters receive strife equal to the round of the clash and bid strife to increase their current initiative, as described on page 259.
2. Take Turns: The character with the higher initiative value takes a turn, followed by the one with the lower value (if tied, the one with lower honor acts first).
3. Determine Winner: If a character inflicts the Incapacitated, Unconscious, or Dying condition on their enemy (or kills them) without suffering any of these, they win. Otherwise, the clash is inconclusive.

So we are at the Staredown step, Yoshi and the Ronin both take 1 Strife, is Yoshi bidding any more to increase their initiative for this round?
Nov 26, 2019 3:21 pm
Yoshi stares at his adversary, solid as the ground under his feet,
OOC:
sure, I'll bit 1 strife since he is at 4 already :D
I still have the ability on right?

OOC:
Yup still on. So Yoshi takes 2 Strife in total (1 for the round and bidding 1 extra). That put's Yoshi on the highest initiative as the Ronin isn't bidding any additional Strife so you're up....

I can have two active kihos right?
Yoshi places his hand on the ground, clumps of soil jumping around him as he checks the ronin's movements.
OOC:
3 = opportunity
7 = success + strife

keep 7 and two 3s. opportunity to recover strife.

what is the +1 physical resistance?
