Asking for a friend

A friend of mine is trying to create an account on here and he does't get sent the confirmation mail. I know this is a known issue, but it normally takes about a day or so to be sent. He has been trying to sign up for two weeks. Even tried another mail adress.

The two accounts he has created so far are M3chx and Yohawk.

I have a web.de email address and don't get any GP mails. When I signed up, I had to email keleth to get a manual confirmation mail.
I dont know what email provider your friend uses but maybe it is an issue with German ones...

Yah, the email problems I've never been able to figure out. I'm hoping some day someone joins GP who knows what they're doing and doesn't mind helping me out. In the mean time, if he emails me, I can send him an activation link.

That's weird, I've had this problem with a German site once, and I could simply not create a new account there because of that... I think bowlofspinach might be on to something...

Yah, some services drop GP into junk mail, unfortunately.

So he now made an account via Gmail, worked.
