What level would you like to start?

I'd prefer lower, but level 1 is wonky.
It feels as if the game itself was designed to skip levels 1 and 2. All cool abilities come at 3, and the Hp amount gets reasonable there as well.

I agree! Level 3 sounds good. That's where most classes select their specialization and things get a bit ironed out. I think they put level 1 and 2 in to get new players used to the class, before they decide how to specialize.

Which book do you have/want to use? I believe Eberron - Rising from the Last War is the most official one and is relatively new. I also have the Wayfinder's Guide to Eberron.

I have both, so you can use them. Actually, you can use anything that you have a link to or can post, since no-one's going to complain that your character is more powerful than theirs -- that's one beauty of solo gaming. And unless it makes a PC able to succeed on any roll automatically, I won't complain, either.
