That's fine, I was planning to go dual sabers or perhaps saber staff in the end anyway. I think it fits Shien form lightsaber combat to have two sabers.

So as stated you can get a Contribution Rank with Contribution Reward -- post character creation but you can also buy a Contribution Rank (with Contribution Reward) with XP as well -- it takes 100 Duty to get a Contribution Rank, you start with 5 so you either need to take some Duty as one of your items or spend a total of 95xp or a bit of both to get another Rank --- that is IF you would like to start with a Contribution Rank of 2 -- and step out of the Basic Recruit category and a C-Rank 2 is as high as you can get when starting out.

Do keep in mind the Contribution Rank 1 comes with a Contribution Rank 1 Reward -- and the Contribution Rank 2 comes with a Contribution Rank 2 Reward --- so these can cover quite a bit of stuff both tangible and intangible assuming you are not trying to over outfit your character -- yeah it chews up a lot of XP but it definitely makes an agent of the Rebellion if that is anything you are wanting to push for with the character -- and again you do not have to take a military rank as you could simply be an Agent

As I have said to others -- all I am doing is trying to help you create the concept that you seemed to put forth -- it is ultimately your decision as to what you go with in the end -- and I will fully understand one way or the other.

I really don't have the extra exp to get up to C-Rank 2, but I'll take the Post-Creation Reward for C-Rank 1. If that could cover some of the gear I have listed for taking the +2500 starting exp, then I could swap that for increased Duty, but that would be your call. I could swap the Jedi Utility Belt for an ordinary Belt and have the Jedi belt in my "Padawan Cache" since I doubt that the Rebellion is giving out Jedi Utility Belts, heh.

No they do not generally hand those out to non-Jedi ;)

And I will look at your gear and see what they could have covered for a beginning Agent

I added Kalavera to the game so you can review her sheet. The total of her gear is 2250. If you want to say that some of that was issued to her by the Rebels (at least 1750 of it at any rate), then I'll make which came from where and bump her Duty by 10 instead of taking the extra cash.

Okay I will take a gander

Any input about the gear situation? I'm fine leaving it the way it is, or getting more starting duty, whichever you wanna roll with. I've already changed her notes to reflect no saber crystal, but C-Rank 1.

Yeah planned to look at that this evening but thanks for the reminder -- I have a plan but I want to get the last couple of nearly ready players included but they are being a bit laggy ;)

Ok, cool. I updated my character with the new gear, plus purchased some of my own "starting equipment" with the initial 500cr you start with. I think I had ~150cr leftover, which I can keep or say I spent along the way. Not counting the 1d100 credits you start the game with as "pocket money". I also know that all that gear is way over my character's encumbrance rating, don't worry, she doesn't haul it all around with her, heh. I'll be sure to specify what I'm taking when I leave the ship or base that I'm at where I have my gear kept.

did you mean to take the Disguise Kit twice?
Feb 4, 2020 6:31 pm
Should only have it once... Did I leave it on from the other set of stuff...?
Feb 4, 2020 6:33 pm
Ha. No, I had not intended to have it on there twice. Fixed it.

Okay it has occurred to me that your character while not openly a Jedi would still be adhering to the Jedi Oath at some level of commitment which would in turn be considered an Obligation but I also like your current characters Obligations -- so how about we make a deal ;) --- you take the Jedi Oath at whatever level you think your character is committed to it (the chance it might pop up kind of thing) at this time (5 she is keeping on the way down-low and only under extreme circumstances would it play into things, 10 she is keeping it on the down-low but it might surface, or 15 she is keeping it on the down low but if something happens there is no compromising it) and the points you get can go straight into your Duty -- sound okay

If you are not sure you like that idea then you could just reduce your Debt and/or Dutybound by 5 points to give you a 5 or 10 in your Jedi Oath
