Reeve Aitken IC set up

After the Ending War, the terrible collapse of the human nations, you join togther with others to form a community of rebels who refuse to be a part of the monster empire who have claimed your home kingdom of Judish, which is known for its strict ideals of justice.

There has been discussion about the view of the monsters. One group believes that the reason why their proud nation fell is because that the backstabbing nations of Intiquar, Dendemun, and Khirone have joined together to successfully sieged the kingdom and destroy its army. Then, the monsters came in and viciously conquered the undefended cities.
Another group believes that it was the monster's corruptive influence that manipulated the nations to weaken and destroy each other. The monsters aim was to wipe out humanity.
The third and most distrusted group sees that the monsters are innocent to the downfall of humanity, and that they took over the ruins because it was an open opportunity to them. However, the group are still rebels as they dislike that they will be treated as lesser citizens.

The common knowledge is that the monsters are now the rulers of city and are hostile against human encounters. You were a bodyguard of the city escapees as they flee to the surrounding desert and had no idea how the monsters claimed your home. You do know that you had slain a dragon monster that was attacking a wandering group citizens from Intiquar.

Which side do you lean onto?

Reeve didn't care about politics before and did not care much more about it now. He would let others speak about their grand theories and reasons, nodding respectfully once in a while. This made some of the groups mistakenly believe he agreed with them. Combine with is reliable attitude and fighting prowess, that made him get along with almost everyone.

If prompted enough to give his own opinion though, his answer what simple. Humanity fell because there was no more heroes to protect it. Why that was exactly? He did not know, or really care. Were the old heroes in hiding waiting somewhere? Are heroes only born at certain generations? Had Humanity gotten lazy, complacent or corrupt? Doesn't really matter. There was a need for heroes now and he would be one of them.

So he kept training and challenging himself. He would reach the heights of the heroes of the past or have a glorious death along the way if so was his destiny.
OOC:
So he would lean more toward the 3rd group personally.

The leaders of the Desert Rebels decided to offer you a new task. Instead of just being a guard, you will help out with hunting monsters that seems to be a potential threat to the community. One of them is a giant sand serpent.
Reeve travels and finally finds it. While battling it, it begins to say "Ssstoop... Sssstooop..." and attempts to flee.
What is Reeve's reaction?
Feb 20, 2020 6:44 am
Reeve cuts the monster down without hesitation.
Feb 20, 2020 8:26 am
Reeve gains 4xp for this. He brings back the head of the monster as a trophy and he received plenty of praise. The carcass is also studied by the local researcher.
[ +- ] Gained Uncommon Info on Sandy Serpent.

The next mission is about clearing a nest of monsters that made a home in the base of a plateau not too far away. As Reeve reaches the nest, he sees that the adults are not there. Instead, baby armoured creatures with claws are crawling within the cave. They see you, and began to say "Ma... Ma... Ma!" It is likely that the parents would be back soon. What is his reaction?
Feb 20, 2020 5:14 pm
Reeve kill all baby monsters except one then lay in ambush to kill the adults when they come back, leaving no monster alive.
Feb 23, 2020 5:18 am
OOC:
I'll assume you also kill the last baby.
When you do the deed and return home in victory, a scout is sent out to confirm. The leaders give you the title of Chief Monster Hunter as part of a ceremony.
OOC:
You gain another 4xp.

Some time later, you are given a new mission. You had shown great success in performing your monster extermination duties. Now, you are sent to look for the missing people that were sent to the South. They were given a cart containing a chest of high importance as part of a trade to the other surviving human camps. Your task is to track down where they might have went, and bring them back. If they are found dead, which is likely, you are to bring back the chest. You are forbidden to look at its content.

You are also given a drawn map of the continent to make sure that you won't get lost.
Feb 23, 2020 5:45 am
You make your way south and found there are two paths you may take. One leads up a hill to a forest full of red leaves, the other goes down into a valley.
Feb 23, 2020 8:50 pm
OOC:
What is the most expensive armor that cost 2 might/hour that Reeve could get as starter?
Reeve check if one path bear recent cart tracks. If not, he flip a crown.

Edit: If no tracks, Reeve head up the hill.
OOC:
Spending 4 xp for speed edge 2 and another 4 for +3might pool and +1 speed pool

The tracks has been blown away by the winds in the desert, and is washed by the recent drizzle at the forested Hill region. Reeve ascends the hill to find a forest full of red leaves and pale barks.

Reeves wears a medium armour. (the list shows a chainmail worth 60 Ardeyn Crowns. I'll allow it to be flavoured as you feel suitable.)
Feb 27, 2020 5:37 pm
Reeve follows the path and keep an eye out for signs of danger or the people he is looking for.

Reeve carefully travels through the forest. He felt the light dimmed and returned to normal for a quick moment. He spotted something moving very fast through the canopy above. Something silvery.
Mar 1, 2020 2:50 am
Reeve draws his sword and try to have a better look at what he saw.

His eyes caught the form of a metallic disk roughly 4ft wide. It then moves as fast as an arrow away before he could pick up more details. After a few more moments, he don't see it again.

After a bit of more walking you hear voices chattering in the distance somewhere ahead of you.
Mar 6, 2020 6:51 am
Reeve sheath his sword and head towards the voices.
