Welcome all! I'm new to GMing, and if I'm not mistaken, you are all new to DW! This should work out well.

This will be our "process" as I see it:

Step 1- create a character.
Step 2- world building. This is where we fill in some details on people and places. Relationships are formed. This may take a few days as there's a lot of back and forth to ensure everyone contributes something meaningful to the world. This conversation is a huge part of DW and will continue once we begin playing.
Step 3- The set-up begins and we play!

For the record I am starting completely from scratch. I have nothing prepared as of this moment and look forward to seeing what you all will bring to the table! I ask for your patience as I try this format out.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Don't worry, you'll do great. You picked some aggressively creative people I think. :)

Creative? I'm, just slightly crazy. Haha! No problem, I am really excited to try this out, barely dipped into this system before, but I wish I have done that.

Long night tonight (good though, board gaming) so I'll get caught up on everything tomorrow. Thanks for running the show!!

Got the rules downloaded and will be creating some type of Ranger tomorrow (Elven? Probably...)

Since I'm calling this game a "One-Shot", I'll likely rip off the bandaid sooner rather than later. Any last questions or comments?

Aye, I have wandered far from my frozen home in the north, and I am ready for you to... rip thy aid from this band., as you have said.
OOC:
No other questions from me, I am excited to start this.

Yeah, what the tree-head said. Let's light this torch. I hear there's gold to be earned around here. Hopefully dishonestly.

Good to go!

I'm good.

Let the chaos begin! Feel free to post/respond whenever you want. There is no such thing as "turn order". Everything that happens is going on simultaneously.

Just a note to everyone. I generally can not post during the week days (Eastern US Time) as I'm at work and don't have access (although I occasionally sneak in a simple post from my phone).

No worries, most of my games are paused. There on-the-go weekend or I guess late night Rping... snickers.

I gotta say, I've been playing D&D so long that it's really hard to get out of that mindset! Arrgggh

Super glad to see this in action. I'm working on trying to get an IRL group to play this. Super excited to try it.

So quick check does Rurgosh come off as a little creepy?

Remnant:
Yes. In the best of ways.

Szemely:
Reach just means your weapon can reach up to ten feet. It's mostly used to judge is an action you take with the weapon seems feasible in the narrative. Distances are space is loose in this system, but we have to at least try and do possible and feasible things.

Give my brain a day or two to recover from the weekend and I'll have another post up.
