Political Structure
House Bodaway is ruled by a council of 4 Elder members that are chosen upon death by the remaining council members and the Stewart. In the event of tie in any ruling the Stewart casts the deciding vote. Their position is filled by a gathering of every member of the House and after members are nominated every member of the house that is of majority (13 years) casts their vote for the new Stewart, who also serves for life.

There are still only 4 recognized branches of house Bodaway consisting of the descendants of the original 4 brothers that started the house. There are usually one member from each branch that sits on the council.

The position of Deputy was created when the Stewart captured the shadow mage. This position stands alone and does not answer to any single council member. Only a full meeting can order they Deputy to execute their talent as a shadow mage. The Deputy has no voting power in the council but is usual present at council meetings. This position's succession is determined by the Deputy themselves as to who will succeed them.

Current Leadership
Council members are listed by age followed by the Stewart and the Deputy. Elder Akecheta is by far the oldest of the council members but is still the most imposing physically of any of the members. He is a bear of a man which makes people underestimate how quick witted he is. Elder Miakoda is the only women to sit on the council and she prefers to manipulate the other members of the council from behind the scenes instead of open confrontation in council meetings. Elder Teetonka is the boisterous buffoon, he is the least liked member of the council due to his inability to stop talking. The youngest member of the council is perhaps the wisest of the members, Elder Howahkan is fairly average in most aspects but he has a way with animals that every other member of the house envies.

The Stewart of the house is a middle aged man named Dakota, he is fiercely loyal to house Bodaway and is constantly trying to improve the lot of every member of the house. He is light-handed but fair with most transgressions but any intentional harm caused to another member or members of the house is met with swift and brutal punishment.

The Current Deputy is the just into her 22 year. She has trained under her mentor for over half her life and just recently assumed the mantle of Deputy after her predecessor was killed in a stampede. Her name is Chenoa.

Major Trade goods
Cattle and horses are the main exports of House Bodaway. The house maintains huge herds of race, draft and war trained horses. Their cattle mainly consists of Cow and the larger bison that graze throughout the mountains.

Minor Trade goods
The House keeps a small contingent of trappers in the mountains that bring down carts of pelts that have been collected throughout the winter.
There is also the precious metals mine that was discovered on the northern border. The mine usually produces Iron, aluminium and some copper, silver and rarely gold.

Battle Tactics and Armaments
House Bodaway's fighting style is very similar to how they live their lives. The are almost always mounted, and lightly armored. They dislike pitched battles, preferring to harry their opponents to exhaustion. A horse bow is their preferred weapon but spears or tomahawks are also common. They also bring packs of dogs that they strap leather armor to in times of conflict to disrupt ground troops

Falconloft says:
It is the 756th Royal Ascension, and King Kleinhardt II is, as he has for the last ten years, throwing a major banquet at the royal palace in Bromgarten. It's usually worth every House's while to attend, or... at least attempt to attend. It's so crowded with those of high status and their entourages, that sometimes the smaller houses can't even get in. This year, Houses Irave and Namelle have stated they're not even going to try to attend, and several others are beginning to lose interest as well.

In the south, House Mytheas has reported seeing large creatures in their normal fishing grounds, and has lost two ships to them already since autumn.

On the western front, House Gasharde has recently been buying up as much of the ship repair market as they can, and it is becoming nearly impossible to avoid dealing with them. Is this a good thing, or bad?

House Ala has been showing interest in Osberg. There's talk of a possible alliance and maybe even a marriage union.

House Zubech has started either charging ships a passage toll, or harassing free shipping line, depending on which side of the argument you're on.
TheVagrant says:
Houses Irave, Namelle, Osmaa, Kraken Society, Revelos, Tamer receives personal invitations (and some more who shown disinterests toward the Royal banquet) receive visits from important members of House Sol to invite them to a special banquet they host for the new Festival of the Blaze during the week of Inheritance.
House Bodaway’s members are in great spirits as they attend the Royal banquet as it was announced that Elder Akecheta son is to marry the eldest daughter of house Zubech. With this alliance Zubech will receive several pairs of Bodaway’s famed brood mares and the daughter will be accompanied to Bodaway Keep with a hefty dowry that includes a new method to fashion barding for horses. This new armor is surprisingly light and allows Bodaway’s cavalry a significant improvement in the field.

Stewart Dakota remains at the Keep managing the preparations for the drive up to the spring and summer pastures and upon receipt of the invitation to the Festival of Flame dispatches Deputy Chenoa and a troop of calvary to attend.

The dealings of House Mytheas and Gasharde have little impact on House Bodaway since they have almost no Navy to speak of.

The Marriage and alliance between house Ala and Osberg is met with good cheer. Having these houses back in the good graces of the court and stable benefits all the houses of the realm. And if they are able to stabilize their houses they will be able to start buying cattle and horses again.

Season 2 Event: Rolled a Victory event, +1 Def, +3 Pop, +3 Land

Hearing of House Halas' sightings of increased orc activity, the council decides to send several groups of outriders to patrol the northwestern border. Shockingly one of these patrols comes across a lumber encampment that is under attack by a frenzied orc raiding party. The well mounted and armed patrol is able to kill most of the orcs and drive off the rest with no causalities but the lumber encampment is in a shambles.

The patrol offers the protection of house Bodaway in exchange for shipments of lumber and fealty, which the leader of the encampment gladly accepts.

After reporting back about the orc raid and the patrols success the council decides to send delegates to house Halas and house Namelle to discuss preparations for a potential incursion from the orcs into the North Coast.
Falconloft says:

Bodaway: House Halas is relying on the royal army to protect them; they send a politely worded rejection. House Namelle on the other hand is willing to discuss terms with you. An envoy arrives with news that they purchase most of their military power from Borovopos, but would be willing to pay for even more, IF the cost were split. (That means, you lose 10 wealth and get two additional d6's that can be used only for defense against orcs. You can also send them back to get 5 wealth back.)
The Council agrees to split the cost of defensive troops with House Namelle.
