Kaseeh had a major effect from a natural 20 in initiative. Might I suggest either an asset to your attack, an asset to any defense roll Kaseeh had to make right away, or some other benefit for superior positioning?

Aduan and Raezhon can act at any time.

Nim, slightly off balance, acts after the cadenta.

"You know," Raezhon calls out as she lets one of her arrows fly. "I bet if we had torches or something we could keep them away without having to hurt them."

Springing into action, Kaseeh's systems begin to analyze the speed, angle and trajectory of the bird's dive in search of the perfect timing to strike, the perfect spot to aim for. Focused as he is, he barely registers the words spoken next to him, but it's just enough to grant a single word in return.

After that each of you can act again.

Rohim is sure that's all that's in the nest, and moves away.

Both Rohim and Kaseeh take three damage (which will be reduced by your armor rating) from mad cadenta beak stabbings.

Rae is going to try to distract the one that beaking on Rohim so he can hopefully get clear of the nest and we can put up a combined defense. She draws back the string and looses the arcing bolt of energy at the bird.

Raezhon misses the bird by a hair.

Nim strikes an kills the cadenta on Kaseeh.

Kaseeh and Aduan have actions.

Seeing Rohim move away, Kaseeh retrats cautiously. As he moves away from the nest, he keeps his eyes to the sky, waiting to strike once more if needed.

Aduan backs away with the others and attacks anything that gets close with his sword.

Kaseeh and Aduan come to Rohim's aid, both slashing with their swords and doing some damage to the cadenta stabbing at the nest-robber. (6 damage total)

GM Intrusion (Rohim can either a) spend 1 xp to refuse the intrusion, or b) accept it and gain 1 xp for himself and award 1xp to another PC of his choice): A cadenta dives from the sky and grabs the gem from Rohim. The cadenta remains to fight.

Rohim also needs to make a Speed Defense check difficulty 4 or take 3 damage from the first wounded cadenta.
